World Cup champion Ronaldinho arrived Saturday to sign with FC Barcelona.
The Brazilian's old club, Paris St. Germain, confirmed it reached an agreement to sell him to FC Barcelona.
The Efe news agency reported PSG would get about $28 million for the player, plus up to as much as about $5.5 million more if FC Barcelona does well with Ronaldinho.
Manchester United and Real Madrid also reportedly were interested in buying the striker.
Ronaldinho flew in to Barcelona to check over his contract with the team, according to Efe and Europa Press, another news agency.
"I confirm that we've signed an accord with Barcelona for the transfer of Ronaldinho, who will join the Catalan club for the next five seasons," PSG President Francis Graille said Saturday, according to the club's Web site.
