Please respond as time permits, no hurry. I am having a posting friend going to do his NBA plays here this year and he asked me some questions I am not sure of. Some I think I know the answer to but some I am not. Just going to send the link from here so he knows they aren't my rules:

- Only sides, totals and ML's? Is that right? You can't post 1st or 2nd Half plays, teasers, parlays etc..... right?

- No lines from the exchanges correct?

- Are you allowed to post your plays all at once? For example if you post before tip can you post lines that were available on the overnights but not available at the time he posts his plays? I've heard both sides on this one time and time again.

- Oh yeah, are you allowed to middle the same games? For example I take Miami -3 early, later when the game is Magic +6- can I take that side as well in the same thread?

I appreciate it sir. I looked through the rules but couldn't find the answer, if you could just give me the latest scoop. As I said no hurry, he won't even be starting until NBA regular season kicks off. And BTW great job with all this, I graded a few contests in my time and that alone can get to you, this forum is like the contest that never ends, LOL. You should be commended for your work, thanks Rob.

One last thing I remembered, are you allowed to get off plays? If I post a game can I come back later and say the play is now off? Seems I recall that being done in the past but not sure if it was here or not. Thanks again.

I think the rules are pretty clear about this:

"#4. You must use WIDELY AVAILABLE lines at the time of posting. No locals will be accepted as line sources. Any line used must be displayed on Rx. live lines by at least one live lines book at the time the pick is posted. Please post at least one book from Rx. Live Lines or other top tier book as the source of you're line with each pick"

This forum would be just a bunch of nonsense if this weren't a requirement.

I agree with you Kirk, I just remember other people doing it in the past. Pretty sure it was on this forum though I could be mistaken on that. Either way just asking about all the rules since I am asking about a couple. I might have a sidebet with this clown, he can't do anything without trying to coax a bet out of someone. I want to make sure I know what I'm up against before he challenges me so I can figure out what edge I may or may not have.

Pat,

Widely available, yes. It is a MUST. This includes exchange lines, it can not be 'I am privy only'. If you catch a great number at a book and then it moves, that is fine. Just please list the book.

Teasers and parlays are OK. Just be sure to list the book, especially when the plays deviate from the industry standard.

1st and 2nd halfs are not allowed, nor are props. For the simple reason these numbers are often not 'widely available' .

Wil had asked me to come up with a more clear and revised set of rules a few months ago, which I will post soon now that I have seen which issues needed to be addressed most in football/basketball.

Getting off a play is fine, just note before the game goes off that you are off the said play. Or that you are buying it back for more to go the other way.

I hope this helps.

You may post a line as soon as it becomes available for the public to bet. Not to beat a dead horse, but please list the book. The time stamp of your post serves as proof in cases such as these.

You may middle, as long as it stays within the max 5 units each side.
