I just have a blanket bet that I do every year, so no real thoughts or write up.
Tor/Ham 1H U25.5 (1 unit) -102
Cgy/Mtl 1H U26 (1 unit) -105
This bet has treated me well over the last few years so I hope that I am not due for a correction today.
Just my opinion but...
I have a personal rule against betting sides on week 1 of the CFL or NFL season, A rule I had to put in place in order to protect myself from an annual ass kicking to start every season. However, if I were to play sides I really like Mtl at +7.5. That is way too many for what will be in my opinion, a very low scoring running game. Also Calgary has many key injuries to start the year. Maybe more than any other team, including two key O-linemen, and a starting MLB (who was the backup a week ago before they dropped Armour). So they have a 3rd string MLB starting (I hear he has played well at camp, but that could be local media bias).
My above noted rule not withstanding, I couldn't help but pick up a sports select on my way home from work for the hell of it:
Ham 2.60
Cgy/Mtl Tie 3.60
Cgy/Mtl under 54.5 1.70
Edm 1.30
BC 2.20
