NE Revs vs Chi Fire
- should have a nice shot at this one. Only RBNY have a higher first half gpg average than NE's 0.92 and no team have a worse first half allowed average than NE's 0.92. Chicago avg more than a half goal per first half themselves and have allowed 0.83 gpg in first half so both averaging well over 1 gpg in first halves this season. Chicago always play offensive away from home and this year is no exception avg 1.33 gpg on road while allowing 1.67. At home the Revs avg 2.00 gpg and alllow 1.20 gpg so certainly sets up like an offensive match especially in 1H where the Revs have scored 11 of their 16 goals and allowed 11 of their 18 they've conceded. Same trend for the Fire who have allowed 10 of their 15 goals in first halves this year. New England have just one 0-0 HT in 12 matches so far and at home have seen 1-2-3-4-2 first half goals. The Fire have three 0-0 in 12 games and their last four road games have seen 4-2-2-2 goals scored by the break. When these teams met in Sept there were 3 in the net by HT and there has been at least one HT goal in 6 straight league meetings. Only key offensive missing is Marco Pappa who is with Guatemala as he is 2nd on chicago in goals and leads them in assists and shots. One other note is that we have the #1 and #2 shots on goal % teams in MLS today as NE are putting 46% of their shots on target while Chicago are hitting the net nearly 40% of the time. Neither defense very stable either, especially in 1H. NE dead last allowing 92 first half shots this year while Chicago 4th from bottom allowing 77 shots in 1H so we should see a good bit of shots and with each team's ability to get them on frame, I'm expecting a few in the net at the break.
NE/Chi 1H over 1 goal 2.5u -120 pinnacle
(if only have o1.5 +150 would do 1.75u)
