Sounds like a movie title doesn't it?

For those of you who were not a part of the original debacle, the first match between these two teams was suspended at the 86th minute due to a Colo Colo fan throwing a piece of concrete at a Gimnasia player. Most bets were honored at that point. However, Pinnacle did not honor their bets since their rules state that if a match is suspended all bets are returned.

On Thursday these 2 teams return to play, this time at Gimnasia. The odds for a Colo Colo win are +400 at BetCRIS. I can't figure out why since in the previous round, Colo Colo beat Alejuelense both games 4-0 and 7-2. I see no reason to believe Colo Colo won't win again here especially since they are mad that their game was suspended, even though they were given credit for the win.

Does anyone have any info on this match?

OK, I found out why Colo Colo is at +400 in the 2nd match. It's because their fans have been prohibited from forming a group at the Gimnasia stadium. I still don't believe that will make much of a difference, especially at these odds. But I'm not suggesting anyone take Colo Colo until I find out more about the match.

Here is an excerpt of a news article describing the situation:

Local authorities to prohibit groups of Colo Colo fans from Gimnasia match
The Associated Press

Published: October 23, 2006

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina Colo Colo fans will not be allowed to travel as a group to the second leg of their team's Copa Sudamericana quarterfinal against Gimnasia LP later this week in Buenos Aires to avoid security problems, the provincial government said Monday.

"If the Chileans come, they're not going to go in, unless they buy tickets and mix with the local public, with all the risks that implies," Mario Gallina, head of the provincial Sports Security Committee (Coprosede), told radio Rivadavia.

But Gallina said the security of the Colo Colo players and the team delegation would be assured by local authorities.

The remarks come less than a week after Thursday's 4-1 victory by Colo Colo in Santiago in the first leg, a match that was abandoned in the 86th minute when Gimnasia midfielder Nicolas Cabrera was struck by one of several rocks thrown from the crowd. Cabrera had to be carried from the field.

The South American soccer confederation, CONMEBOL, upheld the result, but provisionally suspended Colo Colo's Monumental stadium from hosting the next two matches.

Gimnasia had asked for local authorities to ban the entrance of Colo Colo fans from Thursday's second leg, reportedly over concerns about their fans seeking revenge.

"The ideal thing would be that nobody from Chile came to avoid any incidents," Gimnasia vice president Carlos Anacleto said.

BetCRIS has it at +400. NordicBet has it at +440.

Pinnacle should have it soon. They have the Wednesday matches for the tournament already up. I would highly suggest that no one bet at Pinnacle for soccer! Especially in matches like this.

nice job :suomi:

I'm so tempted to call them coca cola.

Thanks emu. Some people call them loco loco.

:missingte

I just couldn't see them getting beat today, especially considering the second game of the previous series in this Cup. Here's something else though. Loco loco will play both semifinal games away. If they get matched with another weak team we may get another good line again based solely on them being away.

This is a team that wants to badly win this Cup.
