Four more years of circle-jerking.

Gotta love these quotes from the Economic Summit:

"If we stay on that path, the years ahead will bring even greater progress and prosperity."

--Dick Cheney, who has apparently been asleep since just before the tech bubble burst

<!--StartFragment --> "I want to thank the administration for all the positive things you've done for our economy. … It hasn't always been this good."

--Larry Mocha, who has apparently been studying up on the Hoover administration

<!--StartFragment -->"We are the envy of the world."

--John Snow, who is apparently smoking Endo, while sipping on gin and juice (with his mind on his money and his money on his mind)

<!--StartFragment -->"I'm pleased to say the economy is now in very good shape."

--Martin Feldstein, who terrifyingly enough is a professor of economics at Harvard

Coverage of the sordid event here.

I know we are not in the dotcom bubble of the 90's, but the economy is not that bad. Everyone I know that wants to work has the best job they've ever had in their life. They are buying houses and new rides. Interest rates are low and food and fuel are the cheapest in the world. The unemployment rate is lower in America than any other country, we even employ 15 million illegal workers. I know we are not experiencing the phony dotcom bubble, but anyone with half a brain knew that was not real growth. It was phony cooked up numbers on alot companies that never made a penny.

Gameface is in love with this lie. Game why is it every time I call you out on this you act like a ghost and never admit you are lying?

"The unemployment rate is lower in America than any other country"

This sir is a flat out lie. When will you ever admit that you willingly lie? There is plenty of truth to what you say on this subject, but this is a lie and if you keep saying it since you obviously lost all sense of reality with this stat. Sir the world doesn't consist of Germany, France, Iraq, and the US. Beyond those countries there are other places with lower unemployment rates. Just admit it.

Bill,

Which countries have a lower unemploymeny rate? Uganda? Haiti? Canada? Mexico? Kuwait? Gutter? Iran? Costa Rica? Belize? Cuba? Nicaragua? Honduras? Phiilipines? North Korea? Sudan?

Bill maybe you'll come up with one or two countries with a similar unemployment rate or slightly lower, but the GNP will be the size of one American state so PLEEZZZZZZZZZ.

LMFAO! Our rate is currently 5.3%, we employ an estimated 15 million illegal workers. 1/2 the people not employed do not even care to work or cannot work. 100% employment is not possible because all 100% of the people are not willing or able to work.

Everyone I know is doing well, eating, drinking, buying houses and vehicles. The glass is definately half full.

Here you go Game, not exactly the size of one American state but the world's second largest economy.

apan's unemployment rate rises to 4.7% in October

TOKYO (AP) - Japan's unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage point to 4.7 percent in October, the government said Tuesday.

The rate was slightly worse than the average forecast of economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires and Nikkei News, who had expected the jobless rate to remain at its September level of 4.6 percent.

Japan's jobless rate had been gradually recovering in recent months amid signs of a rebound on the back of strong exports and improved consumer spending.

But slowing export growth and curbed production have dragged on the economic expansion, forcing the government to downgrade its economic assessment for the first time in a year earlier this month.

In particular, Japan's economy has suffered from a leveling off of shipments to China and the United States. In early November, the government said growth had slowed to a mere 0.3 percent in the quarter ended Sept. 30.

The Japanese economy has marked six straight quarters of growth, after a long period of stagnation when moderate growth was interrupted by quarters of contraction.

Despite the export slowdown, the government has remained relatively optimistic about the resilience of the recovery because of strong domestic demand. Private consumption has been climbing moderately while corporate profits were improving and business investment rising.

Japan's jobless rate stood at 4.8 percent in August and July. - AP

Ok

Bill you are correct the Isle of Man has the lowest unemployment rate in the world .7%

I'm only right 98.9% of the time. I'll give you this one, but it's not exactly what I meant.

Bill are you serious? Are you going to measure the United States against countries that are no bigger than a football stadium and the parking lot?

BIll,

That's basically a tie with Japan. The way our Gov tallies the unemployment rate is far from accurate. Japan has ZERO problem with illegal workers either.

It looks like around 5% is the best rate for countries bigger than Florida, give or take a few. America employs unknown millions of illegal workers and America has alot of people unwilling to work. If you want a job in America you can get a job and work your way up. Many Mexicans do it, end of story.
