MLB hit king Pete Rose apparently isn't doing too well.

The 77-year-old former Cincinnati Reds great said his health is "deteriorating," according to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports.

"I am in poor health and disabled ... and have trouble walking," the documents submitted by Rose read.

The former big-league star filed the documents as part of a divorce with estranged wife Carol Rose.

Also described in the filing is how Pete's income has dropped by $550,000 after losing jobs with FOX Sports and Hit King in 2017.

While he apparently still earns $437,000 per year, he claims his lawyer fees and other "great debts" are bleeding him dry.

In 1989, the 17-time All-Star and winner of the 1973 National League MVP was penalized with permanent ineligibility from baseball amid accusations he gambled on games while playing for and managing the Reds.

He retired after the 1986 season with 4,256 career hits.

I grew up loving the Reds and Pete Rose, but he's worse than a whore. In a restaurant well after his retirement a little kid maybe 10 years old are in that neighborhood, asked him for his autograph... He said " You got 10 dollars kid".

He was a thrill to watch in the game I love, but a peace of trash otherwise.

I wonder if his wife and the court where the divorce is taking place is near him. Citing bad health would
keep him from having to travel for court and pay extra lawyer fees and such, while maybe helping his claim maybe in a court locally...

just a thought as it happens a good bit, but I hope he’s okay...

I saw him here in Las Vegas. Derby day at the MGM. A kid walked up to him for an autograph Pete said NO. Told the kid he gets paid to sign autographs. After the derby I looked over at Pete and it did not look like he hit the derby, I did. Go Thunder Gulch. a 2k tri.

I wish Pete the best healthwise....We're all going to die... He should be in the Hall of Fame, beyond argument.... But I feel he's a scumbag personally... The Hall of fame has plenty of them there if we knew the full story.

Don't believe the BS about him being a jerk. He is a down to earth guy and talkative, once he knows you don't want anything from him.

he never bet against his own team. nothing wrong with betting on your own team or other games when he played or managed even though it was frowned up by mlb demigods.

Exactly and one of the reasons i dislike the man.He has a shop in Mandalay Bay and me and my wife were walking by and there was nobody even interested in his shop, but we asked him if we can get a picture with him and he said that it would be 20$ to take a picture with him, well we just laughed and called him a loser and went on our way,....he's a scumbag

Dont ever get old.....and he deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, no question...
When Gravy and myself were betting horses with him, he was very approachable and talked sports with him and his agent...treated us great and was very friendly with all the posters who came over to our table to say hello...
