Reds the favorite to get Joe Blanton

SI's Jon Heyman believes the Reds are the favorites to land Joe Blanton from Oakland.

Heyman doesn't think the Dodgers, Red Sox or Yankees are serious about making bids for the 27-year-old right-hander. It's assumed the A's want either Homer Bailey or Johnny Cueto and more from Cincinnati for Blanton. Adding Joey Votto with either pitcher would be too high of a price to pay.

Obviously this would hurt Blanton's fantasy value in a major way if the deal happens.

Why would it hurt? I know its the Reds which is a hitters park but the nl without the DH and without as many good hitting teams I would think just the opposite. Also the past couple AL pitchers to come over from the AL to the NL have done real well in there first year with the NL team. Arroyo, Lilly, couple more dont remember right now...

Going from a major pitchers' park to one of the best hitters' parks in baseball. It will move his ERA up at least a full run. It's not like the A's have a ton of juggernauts in their division right now... Blanton has easy matchups, even though he is in the AL.
