Aybar didn't hit him. Pierzynski should've been called out for running out of the line. He was on the grass....

so if you want to go by letter of the law....

i was watching the game thank you and he was never out of the base path yes he did throw his elbow into aybar no denying that however the rules state after you get rid of the ball it is the job of the fielder to get out of the base runners path and thus is why aybar was called for interference you are just like the rest of the major league teams you hate AJ if he is on the other team but go ask anyone when he was with Minnesota or now with the Chicago and they will tell you he is the best team mate you could ever have just for plays like this and in the playoffs against LAA just never gives up on a play

Aybar didn't hit him. Pierzynski threw his elbow at him. By your analogy, every runner should just run at the fielder as long as they stay within the line. Therefore they'd get interference everytime. Also, why do they allow catchers to be ran over? You don't really know what you're talking about...

well make up your mind just a second ago you said he was out of the base paths now your saying he was in the base path you gotta get your story straight and stick with it im done talking to you because you keep changing your story i will stick with this under the rules it was the correct call im sorry that you and anyone else lost money on this play but it was the correct call how about putting blame on wheeler for not closing out the game in the 9th when he had lots of chances or putting it on the other screw up riggans who had all day to make a clean catch and take out brian anderson none of which you bring up only this play in all honestly this play should have never even happened because TB should have won in the 9th they screwed up there and then it carried over to this play there was no need to throw the ball 3 times in that run down you are in a run down with a catcher know your base runners and know the rules of the game total meltdown by the rays today that is that

I was watching the game as well. The commentators even commented on him CLEARLY running in the grass. I guess that's not out of the basepath anymore.

Aybar WAS out of the way. Look it over, AJ threw himself at Aybar, and I'd like to argue if he even really touched him. That itself isn't very clear either.

Sure you didn't bet this game...

Actually, that rule got implemented THIS year, so don't try to tell me that those plays weren't rewarded in the NBA before. Not one tech has been given for a flop yet.

Flopping rule has been in basketball for years, not just this year.

As for betting on the game, I really didn't, but whatever floats your boat.

Umm, maybe it's the fact that you can't read. I clearly stated that he ran outside the line. HE WAS IN THE GRASS.

"THE RULES"...you need to educate yourself on the rules because you have no clue. I'm sure it will be clarified sometime tonight or in the papers tomorrow. I don't even need to hear from you, I'll get the satisfaction of you eating crow in silence.

Again, I didn't bet on this game, how many times do I have to make myself clear.

I'm not emphasising this play only. I'm merely defending it because it's the DISCUSSION. The discussion isn't about who won or lost or about the ground rule double. The discussion is about the specific play.

Man, I'm shredding you...
