rumor that won't die around here moss to miami for wr chambers, db madison, dl ogunleye, and a draft pick -- as crazy as it sounds i'd take that trade!!!

now with all that extra cap room we need to grab a vincent, taylor, springs, or somethin'. but w/ mccombs trying to sell the team word is he might be sitting -- making the team more attractive to a potential buyer.

where are you hearing this? The dolphins would have to be INSANE to make this trade. Moss is an upgrade from Chambers, but Madison is a true shut down corner in the league of Champ "i'm worth a Portis" Bailey. Throw in ogunelye and a draft choice and absorb Moss' outragous contract and piss poor attitude the fins would be big losers.

hansen....as much as i`d like to see ex-maryland grad tice pull a steal like that off,it sounds a little to good to be true...i hope you guys get lucky..

one thing that makes me wonder....the redskins capologist.....this guy must be a magician....

snyder and the skins seem to be able to grab whatever they want, whenever they want.....this year they sign brunell, daniels, griffin, springs, not to mention a huge contract for portis....granted,they lopped champ bailey...but,still....

last year...regan upshaw....lavernius coles....john hall....chad morton...randy thomas...dave fiore...jermaine haley...alex molden....

that`s some capologist....snyder`s a dick,but the guy is pro-active..

the bigger question is how are these teams stay under the salary cap -- we've got some fuzzy math going on me thinks!

latest mccombs saves millions if he trades moss:
if moss is traded, say to miami, the dolphins would be responsible to pay the remaining 9 mil of moss' 18 mil signing bonus. and the kicker here is that even though miami would be paying the 9 mil (thus red saving 9 mil), it would still count against the vikes salary cap (thus saving red untold millions because he no longer has that much room under the salary cap to sign other free agents). F--ing used car salesman

I hope Miami gives up those three players for Moss, because I cant stand the Dolphins.
Would be a terrible trade, but never count out Wannstedt's stupidity

I'm in Miami and, I can tell you, beyond the shadow of a doubt, this deal would NEVER happen. The Dolphins would never, in a million years, give up that much for Moss. A premier young pass rushing defensive end, an elite, shut down corner, a draft pick, AND one of the brightest young receivers in the game, for a slight upgrade at receiver from Chambers to Moss? Gimme a break. I'm down in Miami and that rumor was invented by the starter of this thread.

The only rumor that ever came up down here was Madison and something small (some type of middle round draft pick) for Moss.

jcambert,

moss is more than a slight upgrade over chambers right now. although like i said, chambers has a huge upside if they find someone who can get him the ball.

I guess that's a matter of opinion, however, I would take a guy like Chambers, who doesn't have the baggage and is one of the hardest working guys out there, and is genuinely a "good kid" over a thug like Moss any day. So, while in terms of talent/production, Moss might be more than a "slight" upgrade, all in all, I would say it's only a slight upgrade.

But, you are missing the point. Even if it were a MONSTROUS upgrade, there isn't a chance in hell that a team would give up a young, premier pass rushing defensive end, a shut down corner, AND a draft pick for that upgrade...sorry...not a chance.

If you don't believe me, then realize that a shut down corner (Champ Bailey), just commanded a player like Portis, in a deal, who is one of the top two or three young backs in the game.

i WOULD NOT compare chambers to portis or moss, nor would i compare madison to bailey -- you are off in every direction in those comparisons. i do agree with rpm that chambers is a fine young talent, but he is not even close to moss (shoe-in HOFer). moss is one a handful of players in the league that can totally take a game over.

as for the rumor, it was in two of the local rags, as well as all over sports radio. furthermore, to reiterate a point made earlier i also agree that it would be stupid for the dolphins, however wanstedt is the coach!!!

Does anyone from Miami know anything about NFL

In a couple of Months they will be coming out of the woodwork again with their latest delusion. Only someone from Miami could compare Chambers with Moss.
