Game 3

Game 3
--------
RICE (4 - 3) at TULANE (2 - 4)
Week 9 Saturday, 10/25/2008 3:00 PM

Neither team is exactly the type of team you want to wager on, but when there is value, there is value. Plain and simple. Based on my numbers, Rice has a large statistical advantage in this game. Offensively, defensively, and those numbers are calculated based upon the SOS as well. Rice is 4-3 ATS this year and Tulane is 4-2 ATS this year. Rice also has the advantage in the T.O. department. Honestly I don't understand how Tulane could be favored over anyone other than Idaho and North Texas.

Play Against - A home team (TULANE) - after being beaten by the spread by 28 or more points total in their last three games against opponent after going over the total by 28 or more points total in their last three games.
(29-6 over the last 10 seasons.) (82.9%)

The situation's record this season is: (2-0).
Over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is: (11-4).
Over the last 5 seasons the situation's record is: (19-6).
Since 1992 the situation's record is: (31-8).

My Personal Power Rankings:
Rice- 88th
Tulane- 115th

My Efficiency based on SOS Rankings:
Rice- 84th
Tulane-120th

RICE is 15-5 ATS against conference opponents over the last 3 seasons.

TULANE is 1-12 ATS after a loss by 3 or less points

Key Trends based upon the Line:
Tulane Green Wave are 3-10-0 ATS After 1 Away (PK -> 2.5)
Tulane Green Wave are 4-11-0 ATS After 2 Losses (PK -> 2.5)
Tulane Green Wave are 7-15-0 ATS As Home (PK -> 2.5)

*The line is currently at Rice +2, but I see this becoming a Pk by kickoff. Getting on this game now.

I am Taking Rice +2 (3 Units) :toast:

Your posts are much appreciate number (14); you're record isn't too bad either to say the least.

Continued good luck.

I'm not sure the sytem applies," after being beaten by the spread by 28 or more points total in their last three games"
Tulane won ATS last time they played (vs UTEP). Am I not understanding it correctly. Like the play anyway.:nohead:

I don't know what you see to like in MTSU besides the trends you listed. Team sucks! GL but I think you're wrong on this one. MSU might be 2-5 as well but have much more talent, I think MSU wins this game by at least 17.

I base a teams talent off of their production....what do you base it off of??

You may be right.....they could win by 17, but they could win by only 10 also huh??

Good Luck to you this weekend. :103631605

I wasn't calling you out dude. I misunderstod the wording of the system stated (and still not sure I get it but no matter).
The laughing pup was laughing at me because I like the play anyway with or without the system...geez
GL this weekend

ps and now I get. I did not catch the part of it being RICE going over the total by 28+.

Game 3

--------
RICE (4 - 3) at TULANE (2 - 4)

Mr randizzle

I am more of a let's look and see who team a has played and how they fared and who team b has played and so forth. I post at another site and am 24-16.

MTSU is 1-3 ATS on the road, covering against Kentucky in the 3rd week, since then they have lost at Ark St 14-31, at FIU 21-31 and last week at Louisville 23-42. Miss St is 2-0 ATS at home. Losing 2-3 to Auburn and upsetting Vanderbilt as a 1 pt dog 17-14. They have also played a much tougher schedule facing Tennessee, LSU, Georgia Tech and the 2 aforementioned teams. MTSU quality opponents were Maryland, Kentucky and Louisville. I have no idea how you could possibly have MTSU 71st and Miss St 77th with your power ratings? Anyhow I was just looking to see who you had this week and thought I would give you my opinion on this game. GL this weekend!!

Shocker,
If what you say is true then why is Mid. Tenn. State's SOS power rating 36.7 & MSU's SOS power rating is 38.9? MSU's SOS is only two ratings higher than that of MTSU. Also, Sagarin power rating has MSU 62.99 and MTSU at 60.99. If you add 4 pts for HF advantage, then MSU only wins by 6 pts. I have MTSU losing by 10 at worst. Hence, the line opened at 12, now at 10.5. GL to you my friend. I am on MTSU and w/Randizzle on this one.

As always... aloha.

More on this subject. I think MTSU played well last week until a 4th qtr collapse. I don't know exactly what happened but they were up all they were thru the 3rd, against a pretty decent UL team. They were up 14-0 at one point. I think if they can avoid turnovers, just like anyother team that we bet on, then they should cover.

Don't agree with the sagarin ratings in this case. I'm not playing either side at this point. GL ftp!!
