No final word on Lewis yet but here is a write up on it....

Lynch becoming regular fix-it man for Indiana

Things have deteriorated quickly for the Hoosiers (2-4, 0-3 Big Ten).

They've now lost four straight, three of those at home, after opening the season with back-to-back victories over Western Kentucky and Murray State. The losing streak has jeopardized their goal of reaching consecutive bowl games for the first time since 1990 and 1991, and the 45-9 loss to Iowa last weekend was Indiana's worst home loss since Purdue's 56-7 victory Nov. 22, 1997.

The usually high-scoring offense has managed just 12 points the last two weeks and couldn't score in the second half against either Minnesota or Iowa.

Indiana has turned the ball over, and the defense has struggled to get off the field.

And now quarterback Kellen Lewis, their most consistent playmaker, has a high ankle sprain and is questionable for this weekend. Plus, the Hoosiers travel to Illinois on Saturday, a venue where they have won just one time since 1979.

Agree, I tend to have the perception that everyone on here is in their 40's and i'm a kid(22). Not that being in your 40's is bad or anything, But it's nice to see others in the same walk of life right now that are positive contributors to this forum. GL both of you on Mid-Terms, and anyone else out there who is dealing with them right now. :smoking:
<-22, just got done with my first round of tests, got like a week to relax before i gotta prep for the next round. Hopefully 3 more years and ill be making near 6 figures. Hopefully its worth it.

School first my man! Dont worry about getting picks out while you are studying your ass off...if you do then you will not be focused on both the tests and the games...hate to see you lose both this week. keep up the good work:103631605

What are you talking about? He's not losing both this week. He's winning both this week. You sound like a local bookie who's been getting pounded by Randrizzle's picks and want him to take a week off. Ace those exams and your picks!!!

PS. If you give your professor a couple of these winners he may just throw you a couple A's!!!!!

I don't know if any of these are the teams you are looking into for this week but this may be helpful. I always take look-pasts (or "look aheads" as mentioned here) and hangovers when capping college football. I don't know if coming off a bye week means anything. I've never seen any numbers either way on that but they were in the e-mail so I included them just in case you could use them.

Teams with look ahead potential:
Florida State - Host ACC champ VT next week after travelling to NC State.
Miami - Host Wake Forest after travelling to Duke this weekend.
Oklahoma State - Off huge Mizzou win and Texas on the horizon, must face Baylor first.
Texas Tech - Kansas on deck but first must travel to Texas A&M.
Louisville - South Florida next week but first face OOC foe MTSU.
South Florida - Travel to Louisville next week but first must deal with bottom feeder Syracuse.
Penn State - Despite 8 straight losses to Michigan, Big 10 title could be on line at Ohio State next week.
USC - No matter who was next week (Arizona) the Trojans could be looking ahead of Wash. St.
Georgia - Travel to LSU next week following this week's home game with Vandy.
Florida Atlantic - Western Ky game does not count for Sun Belt standings this week.

Teams coming off a big win or disappointing loss:
Clemson - Loss at Wake dents chances of elusive ACC Title and prompted ousting of head coach Bowden.
UAB - Led 20-3 at halftime before giving up 42 unanswered points in loss.
Texas - Huge win over Oklahoma in Red River shootout moves the Longhorns to #1.
Oklahoma - Beaten in key game vs rival Texas dampening title hopes.
Toledo - Upset in the Big House helps put positive spin on disappointing season.
Michigan - Miserable season continues after home loss to Toledo.
Illinois - Must recover from disappointing blowout home loss to Minnesota.
Vanderbilt - Suffered first loss of the season last week at Miss St.
Nebraska - Took Texas Tech to the brink with 4th qtr comeback before falling in OT.
Buffalo - Blew 15 point 4th qtr lead before falling in OT to WMU.
Western Michigan - Win streak continues after 4th qtr comeback and OT victory at Buffalo.
New Mexico State - 19 point underdogs won shootout 48-45 at Nevada.
Stanford - TD plunge with 25 seconds left beat Arizona 24-23.
Arkansas - 25-22 win on the road at Auburn provides traction for the Petrino era.
Auburn - Upset at home by Arkansas continues difficult and awkward season for Tuberville.
Penn State - Questions beginning to be answered after 48-7 blowout win at Wisconsin.
Wisconsin - Difficult Big 10 season got worse with embarrassing 48-7 loss at home to Penn St.
Oklahoma State - Statement win for the Cowboys winning on the road at Mizzou.
Missouri - Season goals took a step back with home loss to Oklahoma State.

Teams coming off BYE week:
Boston College
Maryland
NC State
Florida State
Duke
Virginia Tech
Connecticut
Pittsburgh
South Florida
Marshall
Rice
Navy
UNLV
California
Washington
Alabama
Ole Miss

CandC, where did you get this info? I like to look at this stuff too. But I usually have to figure it all out myself. Did you find it all nice and prepared? Or did you put this together? Thanks brother.

I got it all nice and prepared from RAS (Right Angle Sports). I have a football subscription with them. Check out collegeinjuryreport (dot) com, there may be more info there for you.

RD, been watching your picks. You know your stuff.
Do you have an opinion on the Buffalo-Army game? My book has it at Buf -11.5 currently. I love Buf and am playing them regardless but it is nice to have some good cappers on board with me. Here is my write up from another thread on it:

Army has been playing better, that's for sure. They are coming off 2 wins in a row. They went to Tulane and crushed them in an impressive win and then squeaked by a pretty weak Eastern Michigan team by 4 pts at home last week. Those 2 teams have a combined record of 4-8. They also played Tex A&M tough the week before Tulane at their place. They lost by only 5 pts. That's impressive even though A&M are nothing what they usually are this year. Army due to come back down to Earth and i think this will be the week on the road.

Buffalo is coming off an absolutely disaster of a game last week against a very tough Western Michigan team who is 6-1. They had a huge lead late on W.Mich and collapsed for a very tough loss. Buffalo is 2-4 but look at their opponents. They lost to Pitt, Mizzou, C.Mich & W.Mich who have a combined record of 19-5. The most they lost by was 21 to Mizz but they played them tough all game and put up 21 pts on them at their place. They lost by 9 to Pitt in a tough game and lost to C.Mich & W.Mich by a combined 8 pts. They are going to come out strong this week take it to the bank. This might actually be my play of the week b/c the more i look into the more i love it. Turner Gill has those boys playing some good football and they have had some bad breaks but this week they are going to ROLL Army.

Note- Army lost to New Hampshire 28-10 at home Week 2. They are not even D-1A

Thursday Game

FLORIDA ST (4 - 1) at NC STATE (2 - 4)
Week 8 Thursday, 10/16/2008 7:45 PM

Initially coming into today, I looked at the card and thought....no thanks. But i'm not sure if it is me itching for action, or if I have found an edge.

Game Notes: "Maybe, just maybe Florida State is headed in the right direction after three unsatisfying seasons. The next stop for Bobby Bowden’s club is at North Carolina State, where they are only 2-6 ATS. The Seminoles will arrive in Raleigh just 3-6 ATS off a bye, which is just about the opposite of the Wolfpack who are 11-2 ATS with time off. Watch the line on this matchup, as N.C. State is only 7-10 ATS as home underdog since 2000, but 10-4 against the spread when catching double digits in the ACC. The Seminoles are a nasty 0-7 ATS as favorites off consecutive wins and covers versus teams under .500."

All of that looks like the game should favor NCST. But something feels like FSU is the play here. I mean they are a MUCH more efficient team averaging 5.9 YPR, 6.1 YPP and 10.1 YPPT. While only allwoing 2.1 YPR 3.7 YPP, and 14.6 YPPT. NCST on the other hand is dismal to say the least. Also, one would think that NCST has played a MUCH tougher schedule. But was it really that much tougher?? Sure all the big names are there, but Clemson?? We all saw last week that they ARE the most overrated team this year by FAR!! Anyway, I like football teams that are efficient and have talent with great coaching. That is Florida State Tonight. Additionally, they are coming off a bye and a huge win over Miami. I see them being motivated and ready to make a statement tonight.

This is not a strong play, but worth 2 Units for me personally. I understand I am on a great run, but remember proper money management and keep things in perspective. This is a LONG season, and we are just halfway there. Let's continue to pick and choose our spots wisely, while still getting our weekday fix in...lol.

Bowden is 11-3 ATS off a close win by 7 points or less over a conference rival as the coach of FLORIDA ST.

Bowden is 11-3 ATS (+7.7 Units) after outrushing opponent by 200 or more yards last game as the coach of FLORIDA ST.

Win or Lose boys let's have beer and enjoy the Games tonight. :toast:

I took Florida St. -10.5 (2 Units)

My thoughts exactly. Had the same feeling when Bama went to GA. I didn't play cuz the public was on Bama. Look what happened there. I don't know what to make of this line cuz I have Vandy losing by 10-11. Go figure.
