Gannon's still head trippin' from his record setting Superbowl performance. The offensive line is breaking down more often, he's getting pressured, and is afraid to throw the ball because he keeps having flash-backs of Buccanneers returning his passes for T.D.'s while millions watch. On top of that their plays are old and stale, archives from the Gruden days and defenses have caught on. Their season is lost IMO.
The major problem for them is the fact that they don't have Jerry Porter. Some might find it silly for me to say that but it is true.
They have no deep threat to stretch the field on the defense. Porter was their main threat in that role as Rice & Brown don't have the speed to do that anymore & clearly have been possession receivers for the last # of years.
With Porter being out, defenses can easily drop more men back into pass coverage & give the Raiders little dinks because they're playing with everything in front of them. They don't have to worry because the Raiders have no deep threat to get by them.
The Raiders also have inexperience WR's past Rice & Brown who aren't fully into the speed of the NFL game especially with the blocking schemes. The Raiders can't rely on the run either as their OL is a mess & their young players are making a ton of mistakes with their blocking schemes.
