R. Madrid/Arsenal over 2.5 (-106). Is this a gift?

where is this game at?

Real should roll. Arsenal defense is questionable and their midfield is very inconsistent.

I like it too. But it's by no means a lock - the games at this stage of the CL tend to be very low-scoring.

I like Real Madrid and the over but so does everyone else. The price on this game just keeps going up and when everyone is on the same side, well you know what usually happens. That being said, this Arsenal team stinks. I couldn't bet them with someone elses money.

Arsenal's defense is slow. There is no creativity in midfield and Thierry Henry looks disinterested. He'll be leaving Arsenal at the end of the current season. The only problem is that someone should tell him it isn't the end of the season yet. Arsene Wenger has lost control of this team and I think they'll be playing in the UEFA Cup next year as I don't see them finishing in the top four in the Premiership.

Real Madrid are on a roll. They showed me a lot last week in the second leg of their Copa Del Rey matchup with Real Zaragoza, even though they came up a goal short. That was a solid effort and showed just how well this team is playing. They've gotten back into the La Liga race and are scoring lots of goals.

I played both Real Madrid and the over in this spot and I can see them putting up three goals against Arsenal.

Unbelievably, Mansion has the O/U set up as 2,2,5. This line stinks to high heaven.

Someone said that Arsenal plays for Draws against quality opponents. Does Arsenal have anything to gain from playing for a draw in this match?

No Viera means no defence for Arsenal,Ashley Cole has been out for ages so with Madrid resting 5 first teamers for saturdays 3-0 win over Alaves it looks like a game with goals.Never underestimate the skill of T.Henry so 3 goals should be easy.

bob, where you been man?

real for me is by far the most incosinstent and dirty team in the cl, they ve had bettors pay for innumerable upsets they suffered both on the handicap and the moneyline, and they are responsible for the most halftime, fulltime different sides, which are always enormous odds bets, and a definite sign that something fishy is going down. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they drew here, and trashed arsenal at anfield. Arsenal, comparably shitty as they are this year, are no alaves, and can manage a controled tempo low scoring game if they wish too, it's certainly within them, so i think the goal line is prety much where it should be, because it takes two to tango, and too to make most overs, and that's taken into account as well. "Does Arsenal have anything to gain from playing for a draw in this match?", they got the world to gain... If i were to chose anything here, and i might, after some consideration it's the real on the moneyline or the handicap, they should do it, but i just can't get myself to bet on the friggin team...yet.

while the over looks easy...I think the gunners will play for the 1-1 draw ..it is thier only chance...cant get it to a shootout with any body.....also I dont look for anything from Henry is this game...he has quit on the team (rumours he was house hunting in Spain last week)....good luck to everybody in this game

I think Liverpool game is the bet ...but that is just me

Well. I figure a minimum of two goals are scored in this one. So I am hedging with even number of goals scored. Only way I am screwed is if 0 or 1 goal is scored. If so, the match was fixed.

14 of the 29 games last spring (all games after the group stage ) had 3 or more goals - 13 of 29 in 2004. If you only look at the first leg of the match-ups, the picture is the same; about half of the game went over.

So I guess my comment about fewer goals at this stage is somewhat wrong...

Anyway, I still like my Over 2.25, 1.76 @ Mansion that I took yesterday - although I find it discomforting if acw takes the under... :)

Arsenal away from home in the EPL has score nine goals, conceded thirteen, in thirteen games.

Still I don't care too much for numbers. Bernabeu isn't a regular place to play and even though I expect Arsenal to play very defensive their injuries in the backline are to severe to hold out Real.

I played over 2.5 and covered with a 2-0 scoreline. Worked out to about -140.

I like Real more but the odds have increased to about a full goal so its harder to recommend. Still I can't fathom Arsenal getting anything out of this game and it wouldn't shock me if this got out of hand.
