well, no time to waste her as my dial-up connection could die at any moment. i don't have the past performances, but here's what i like (from memory) and more importantly, whom i don't like.

Distaff: i've never like ashado, and would play against her today, even with a favorable draw to the inside. society seletion is worthy, but will probably be an underlay, so i would look to two west coast fillies- island fashion and hollywood story. 'fashion has run heads above the best times earlier in the year and 'story is going to be about 30/1, but deserves a look off her exceptionally strong works.

Mile: i hate blackdoun and six perfections and i'd throw them both out of the win hole, particularly 6 perfections, who has not looked the same quality this year. if he's a decent price north of 5/1, i'd buy special ring tickets as this horse is just freakishly good when on his game and canani has circled this one on the calendar for a long time. artie schiller should be well positioned, a bit off the pace shortening up and should run well for migliore.

Sprint. Champali and Kela. 'ali has the killer instinct and should sit a good trip in this speed-laden cast. kela is the threat to pick them all up from behind as he's blossomed into an absolute tiger sprinting on the dirt. don't know if the lone star track will help him, but he's drawn favorably and should be rolling inside the 16th pole with giant strides.

F&M Turf: Ouija Board and Wonder Again- exacta box.

Juv: i hate roman ruler- that last race was awful and he hasn't looked the same since getting nostralized by declan's moon, who would be my choice if pointed here. the east coasters are clearly superior, but i'm leaning towards afleet alex, who got an exceptionally good education behind proud accolade in his last and looks like a horse that will appreciate two turns.

Turf: powerscourt. going to try and beat deserving favorite kitten's joy, who has done nothing run on the green and will be tough to oust. 'court was tons the best at arlington and 12 furlongs should be no problem.

Classic. don't like ghostzapper, who could scarcely have been less impressive when all out to beat saint something at belmont. pleasantly perfect is the big horse and i won't spend too much money trying to beat him, but if searching for a price, i'd look to funny cide, who has won me over as a legitimate handicap horse this year, and birdstone, the horse that could win horse of the year with a victory over elders here. birdstone loves to grind 'em out and will be coming tenaciously around the far turn.

good luck.

two days ago, bobby frankel said the Classic was a three horse race: GZ, Roses in May and Pleasently Perfect.

no wonder the triple paid so little.

rough day for me too.
