No way 1000+ people are viewing the baseball forums there....

Can they make their software lie?

I mean sure Bucsfan has 3000+ views (which I believe is BS too)

But no other thread has more than like 20...no way 1000 people are viewing and not clicking on other threads...

Just was wondering because I truly believe they are full of shit....

i think the software "mines" the number of views for a set number of hours, of course the larger the number of hours the data is pulled from the larger the number of viewers, someone here with more tech skills should be able to answer this better than i.

on a side note i would like to thank doc for the huge increase in the number of people viewing downstairs, doc will you be out this weekend? if not hopefully wil should at minimum allow a conjical visit.

everytime you read a thread it will count as a view, if i open up bucsfan thread 100 times his views will go up each and everytime

See now this makes sense...because if they are taking a running total for the last however many hours it explains why the numbers are still high at 4 AM when I highly doubt 800 people are viewing...and now at 8 AM they are back down to 400 because no one has been on there in the last 6 hours or so...but even then those numbers are bullshit...

I just saw a thread on there about how many views they had that RX didn't and I didn't want to sign up to call BS just to be banned...

I mean there are great forums all over the net...so all this stuff is just intriguing to me...

Yes EOG has a 12 hour active view window, while THERX has theres set up for 2 hours.
