This may sound stupid, certainly "square", but wondering if any of you take what I perceive as "free money" plays in soccer.

To explain, with the massive chasm between the haves and have nots in soccer the haves almost never lose at home and/or to the lesser teams in the table. Thus, taking teams like ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter, Milan, Bayern and perhaps an occassional other game here and there at +.5 in parlays or round robins appears to be almost free money.

Just wondering if anyone else does this.

just want to clarify. you are saying you put teams like inter and united in parlays at +1/2 goal? well, yes that is sort of like free money but I don't know any bookie that will give you a half goal line when a team is a big favorite. Even last week United were -180 or so home to Tottenham at -1/2. I'd guess a +1/2 line on them would be around -1000 or so, right? short answer is, no i don't do this but I would agree that most of the time it is extremely safe since these teams may lose 5 games outright all season

yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Last weekend I took Liverpool PK/Juve PK/Chelsea PK in a 2 and 3 team round robin. This isn't +.5, but I took the PK with no more risk to lose for a slightly better payout. $1000 paid $277.52.

Sunday I took Barca +.5/Inter +.5/Milan +.5 2 and 3 team RR $1000 to win $257.41.

5 dimes has the lines and allows parlays of them. On the larger leagues they will typically have the 3 way line, PK, +.5 and -.5 for both teams.

i have done this on 5dimes many times, and though i never say 'free money', i'll say it is close

i actually don't do RRs but that is something i should look at more, i usually throw them in parlays with tennis and other sports. i should look at the RRs now, but to tell the truth, and i've been betting OS for years.....i have never put in a RR wager

yeah, I know it isn't free per se, which is why I put it in quotes. Just wondering if anyone else did it as well and what they thought about it. The RRs aren't bad b/c one game doesn't kill the entire thing. pay out is less, but one loss isn't a total loss.
