Maybe it's not the picks ..... It might be the systems rigged!

Here is a little piece of information or should I call it observation of over 46 years of betting football. Don't ever bet teams that are favored by 5 or 5' points. I call that the dead number for bettors. I seems like the favorite hardly ever covers or the dog wins up right. I have no static's to back up my claim just observation or selective memory. I don't know if this could be checked but I would be curious to know. This is just another piece of information for you to help you become a better bettor.

I generally stay away as well but I loved that the KC line dropped to -5 so I jumped all over it.

I liked the Chargers but I couldn't trust them in ATL.

I just took a look at this years lines and scores. Using Vegas Insider Lines there were 5 games so far that fell into this group. Teams getting 5/5' won 4 games straight up one loser which was the Bears. Just a observation that I have seen play out over the years I think.

Yea the +5 only works for spreads that start around that number and stay steady on it.

Like in the case with KC I grabbed it when it hit -5 but it kept fluctuating. Feel a little lucky to have won but nonetheless I would still bet it next time. I loved KC today.

The ATS is slightly above 50% at 53.3% and the dog loses 2/3 of the time.

D and (line = 5 or line = 5.5) and season >= 2005
SU:74-128-1 (-4.94, 36.6%)Teaser Records
ATS:106-93-4 (0.32, 53.3%) avg line: 5.3+6: 146-56-1 (72.3%) -6: 74-129-0 (36.5%) +10: 161-41-1 (79.7%) -10: 42-160-1 (20.8%)
O/U:96-100-7 (-0.58, 49.0%) avg total: 43.6+6: 54-145-4 (27.1%) -6: 135-65-3 (67.5%) +10: 38-164-1 (18.8%)

If the game opens 5/5.5 the numbers are the same, about 50/50.

Thanks for running that stat Biz. Selective memory can play tricks with your mind. You only remember when you when win and forget when you lose. I thought it would be much higher.
