Should BB sit Zappe? (2-0) Mack Jones was struggling and turning the ball over.

How about Rush? Dallas is 4-1. Rush has the four wins. Dak the loss. (before the Philly game)

Too much invested in Dak
It is not like Rush has ridiculous stats either

Zappe may have more potential than Rush but based on last year and their investment in Jones ....plus it has only been 2 games...not happening I don't think
Nor should it
But I am not a fan of Jones arm, so if I was a Pats fan I may want Zappe

I can definitely see Zappe sticking around if he keeps winning.
No matter what Dak is the #1 guy when healthy in my opinion.
Good luck

Don't make change until 2nd half or don't change at all. Like baseball changes usually backfire when pitcher is taken out

Nobody sits a 40 milly QB. You just can’t. Its why high draft picks get position over lower picks. They get more opportunities because the GM and Coaches want to be right and justifying the pick. GM makes his grave by signings and picks and coaches often have a say. When they invest big in them it’s like an obligation to play them. I personally wouldn’t bench Dak, but I wouldn’t have paid him either. Till GM’s start using their own money on players instead of an unlimited CC you likely aren’t going to see a 40 million $ QB benched for a $250k QB. A coach makes that move the GM likely fires him lol. Because it works out the GM is out a job.

This is why new coaches usually clean house for their guys.

Is Dallas better with Rush? Maybe. Depending on how you view things I guess. Is Dallas play different behind Rush yes. Would they call the same plays as with Dak obviously not so far. If you’re the Chiefs do you worry about Dak putting up 30 or Rush 30? Offense and teams on both sides call different game plans and scheme vs different style QBs.

Dak is a good QB. Smart guy good passer bit mobile. Midget Murray, Russ, Lamar, will never be worth the $ as long term passing pocket Style is the only thing that beats the speed of a defensive long term. Vick Cunningham Culpepper crushed a few years with remarkable regular season records and stats. We have seen that style of QB for years. It doesn’t work.

Old ass dudes like Rodgers and Brady just scorched the league last year. No 45 year old should be dropping 5k yards 45 td vs the elite players of today’s game. But the speed of a football and ability to read a defense will always be faster than a players speed. Lamar can run a 4.2 40 but a football can run a 1.2 40.

"football can run a 1.2 40". haha Like that. Kinda simplifies the Lamar controversy.

Looking like there will be no controversy in Dallas. Rush needs to pick it up tonight. The kid was never down by more than 7 points in his four games prior to tonight. Now 14. We'll see what he's worth under stress.

But te Pats? I think they are finding themselves in a tough place. Belli will figure it out. And he'll use the guy who gives his team the best chance to win. Gonna be interesting to see who he goes with next week.

It’s true. The football will always be faster than the players. You beat speed with speed. Only way long term is by QB’s who can anticipate (read defense) and have accuracy. Arm strength isn’t even that important. Average NFL QB zip a ball 55 mph. Now can they anticipate, process and read fast enough is another question. Allen Patty Rodgers Brady all whip it probably 60-65 mph.

The running QB game is not built for NFL elite talent. CFB sure. So for every QB running 4.2 40 some DE 6’6 275 77inch wing span is running 4.4 or 4.6 and going to get ya more times than not. NFL guys are absolute freaks. From OL to DL they can move. And somewhere a slow statue QB will continue to beat a defense with a 1.2 40 but with the football.

Russ and Midget Murray literally can’t see Over the line. It’s why they never work the middle in the pocket and lack intermediate throws and accuracy. They basically give the defense just two quarters to cover instead of 3. Look at Geno working all 3 TE’s in each game in Seattle. Running the same offense. Russ never worked TE. These footloose running QBs are good. But long term and winning SB unless a freak defense and great run game it’s going to collapse

Just my two cents

Little more QB Controversies

You're so much better than the way you're 'f***ing playing," Brady said before dropping at least one more f-bomb on the guys tasked with protecting him.

Why was Brady upset? (he's losing on the field and off) He faced repeated pressure against the Steelers pass rush and was sacked twice before halftime. He fumbled on a second-quarter sack by Alex Highsmith. The Bucs recovered the loose ball, but punted three plays later after the sack knocked them back to second-and-19.

After seeing Rush I say there will be a change. If his name was TB the last interception was a roughing the passer and the boys would still have the ball.

Wow??? Rush signed a two-year, $1,955,000 contract with Dallas that started in 2021 and features an average annual salary of $977,500

Dallas probably wins this game with Dak

There’s no controversy. Defense and running can only take you so far in 2022

Dak will start when healthy. Rush is a free agent. Rush probably wants to sit so people can see less flaws as he’s gonna get paid in the off season.

I haven’t watched Zappe play so I don’t know if it’s him or the team that is playing better?

I think Zappe/Jones is a legit controversy.
But it's only been two game against 2 of the NFL's worst teams so hard to get excited about that.

Dak has his starting job no matter what.

Dak in Dallas, but if the Cowboys beat the Eagles yesterday and Rush played good, that might have become an issue.

I've been complaining loud and often about Matt Patricia's play calling during their putrid 1-3 start. I wanted them to run more especially in key situations. With Zappe, they're running more with seemingly a shorter passing game

Too many 20 yard passes in short yardage situations with Jones. Or maybe that's Mac making bad decisions

I want Prescott to continue. I liked Mac Jones last year but he got careless with the ball this year.

One thing that Zappe does exceptionally well that was also a hallmark of a young Tom Brady is step up in the pocket. And he has the vision to use the extra time to find the open man downfield.

I know it's an extremely small sample size but I want him to get the chance to expand on the sample size.

What are your thoughts, Willie? Or any of the other Boston guys?

Michelangelo, I leave that up to the GOAT. I Agree with what you've said. Too many stupid mistakes by Mac. Maybe Zappe will be better

I think Mac has been more error prone but kind of a small sample size

Mac also looks improved in a lot of ways too. Seems stronger, more accurate . Just a few bad decisions which is not something to take lightly

I would go with Mac. Pats in general have a better team than people realize

Why did Belichick start Mac Jones if he was going to have such a short leash anyway?

Just an oddly dumb decision by the GOAT

One of the reasons the GOAT is the GOAT because of how he handles his players. This is just going to be another exercise in playing for the GOAT. Don't expect him to do what YOU think is best.

He's the GOAT but not flawless

Very questionable management of QBs here IMO. Curious to see how he adjusts moving forward
