Has there been a worse president than Bush? Newsweek had his approval rating hiting another all time low at 28% - it seems only the most die hard right wingers are willing to put up with him now.

Plenty. Maybe you need more history lessons.Bill Clinton for instance.

I think in general people have disgust for all politicians these days, regardless of denomination.Have you seen the approval ratings for the house and senate?

NOBODY.

If you'll notice, most GOP candidates don't want him campaigning for them. The proof is in the pudding.

The 28% will always be with him ... just like 24% think Mark Furman (and not OJ) actually killed Nicole Simpson.

Why was Clinton a bad president? And for the record, I still think Nixon was not a bad president. Bad person, yes. But a very effective Pres.

Clinton was a bad President? I thought it was widely regarded that all his policies were extremely successful - are you still bent that he got some head?

Check it out sometime folks the bush presidency is little more than an extension of Nixon's, taken to it's most incompetent and hideous extreme.

Why was he a good President?

He,

1.diminished the military strength during a time it was clear to that the US was becoming a target worldwide.Even as attacks continued to mount (incl. the disgraceful surrender in Somalia-which incidently is the impetus for the AQ attacks to come in its wake-says OBL) the military became expendible to Clinton. He continued to vocalize his concerns without ever acting on them proactively,in fact he did just the opposite.he gave terrorism a free pass time and time again.

2.neutralized the intel gathering capabilites of the US worldwide by taking crucial assets out of the field and stationing them in embassies and back in the US as desk jockeys. This plays a huge factor in the conflict we entered into obviously.Lack of accurate evidence is the mantra of the left....any guesses why the intel was so bad.Any guesses who the guys were Bush inherited came from? Any guesses why as these incompetent bureaucrats were being let go post 911,the leaks from the intel services got worse and worse?

3.Ill get into the long history of rocket technology secrets allowed to be pilfered during his presidency which now allows China to put a nuke anywhere they want if you like or you can check it out for yourself.Theres little in the way of info that refutes the basic scheme.Add in campaign finance controversy that accompanied this relationship and youve got quite a story.

4.North Korea? Ill be fair I think NK is playing the same game now but theres still time to squeeze them.I beleive Bush is much resolute in pursuing goals.Clinton did no such squeezing.

5.Rwanda...but he did apologize.

6.Stopped cold the efforts to drill ANWR (just like Dems do today),incidently at a time when gas prices, like to today were reaching record levels. The rationale...the benefits of drilling were 10 years away, would do no immediate good.Well its ten years gone, just like the Led Zep tune .Wouldnt that oil be nice to have these days?

7.Able Danger....once again a long story and intertwined with the China fiasco but still a suspicious bit of history on its own.Worth looking up for sure.

8.Last minute shady pardons of Marc rich and Hills bro, among other nefarious folks.

9.Overall deviant behavior that didnt seem to get any better despite ascending to the office of President, from his days of raping women pre Oval Office.

10.Delayed commitment to the Bosnia conflict allowing genocide to go on despite later engaging and easily defeating the aggressors.

More?

Do you mean policies like attacking Microsoft and crumbling the feeble, volatile internet economy that existed at the time?

I gotta laugh at some of those, especially compared to the Bush campaign. Rwanda? C'mon now. Darfur is happening RIGHT NOW!

Honestly...50 years from now these "bullet point memo's" will be a whisper compared to the virtual abortion of the Bush presidency. Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents, if not the worst, in history.

Bullet point memos...lol.Like I said investigate any of the claims Ive made.I just got you guys started. These are serious flaws for the greastest President of all time IMHO.Things are as bad as theyll EVER be for Bush right now.50 years....Id say its a coin flip as to whether his legacy is positive in the eyes of the public (or at least those in direct control of how the public is shown the "truth".)Besides the "lost" war explain to me why Bush is such an "abortion"? Seems to me things arent as bleak as you make them out to be.

Ill be fair once again and admit the world including the US is neglecting Dufur, but even the UN isnt being allowed to help there.Rwanda was different. We were not engaged in a major war the 90s (really), with the heavy handed taxing and lack of funding for the military, the country was in a much better place to help in all aspects.I was asked why Clinton was not a good President,Im simply obliging.

The Iraq war in relative terms will be remembered as less of failure than Nam.In fact at this time I cant see anyone in the world capable of projecting the outcome of the conflict.Sure the dems want to run away, per party platform but thats not going to happen.Even the worst case scenario in Iraq doesnt come close to the percieved "failure" of Vietnam.I keep seeing weve lost....but who won?

BTW July 12 ............TOOL at the dreaded Tweeter Center.308 for 4 50 face value seats....luv ticketmaster.

I missed Tool again on their second leg, but I saw them last summer...I really only wanted to see them at Pearl because it only holds 2,000 people...I haven't seen Tool play in front of that small of a crows since Tijuana in 93.

As for Clinton being dubbed the greatest president of all time, don't know who is making that claim. It ain't an easy job, that's for sure. Iraq vs. Vietnam is debatable at this point, we don't know the outcome of Iraq yet, we certainly don't know what the impact of that war on the middle east/future middle east policies will be. There may be negative ramifications from this particular war 20 years from now...or we may win the damn thing and Bush will come out smelling like Roses. I almost feel sorry for the man because I believe he means well, unfortunately he put together one of the worst cabinets ever assembled and was mislead by their ignorance and misguided agendas. As maynard says, Lie, cheat, and steal, I will not tolerate. Bush shouldn't have either.

Regardless, there will be books and stories (and myths) regarding the dysfunction of this white house for years to come. Clinton is only 7 years removed from his presidency and I'd say his stock is on the rise, when it clearly could have gone in the tank.

GOP candidates don't want him campaigning because he is Unpopular.

He is unpopular because of this war.

History will judge his place. But please don't equate unpopular to bad.
