as i lifelong gunners fan, i am quite worried myself. We are relying on bedtnar, arshavin, Sol and walcott to get the job down vs a very tricky Porto side. Some of those guys can be brilliant but many times they look quite plain and sometimes useless.

actually 2-1 means a tired and severely shorthanded Arsenal club goes into extra time...would not be advantageous.
IMO a Nasri/Song central midfield is pathetic for this level and I would back Porto +1 or the under long before laying -185 on Arsenal. There's only so much the Gunners can do down the wings and without a true playmaker in the center of the pitch goal chances will be at a premium

i am the type of guy that thinks history matters and "Porto have lost all six of their trips to London" but the gunners rarely turn european deficits after the first leg. So maybe those two cancel each other out.
Public is starting to buy up Arsenal and that is never a good sign either. I think if Arshavin shows up and bedntar doesn't miss 8 scoring chances like he did on the weekend, we might win. But, as rolltide said, it will be near impossible to move the ball and play our style. Guys that rarely show up for big games will have to today to have any chance.

Cesc being out does hurt them in the middle, but like you said dial squares, Bendtner will play a big role tonight and if he plays like he usually does (missing chance after chance) they could be in for a tough night vs. porto's bend but don't break defense. Arsenal should be pressuring them throughout which also scares me because Porto is very dangerous on the counter attack with Hulk, Falcao, Christian Rodriguez and Raul Miereles... You saw the hard time arsenal had last meeting to contain hulk, and I dont see today being much different. Arsenal should put in a goal or two but Porto will be able to put in one or two themselves on the counter. Arsenal need to score quick to avoid having to bring men up in numbers on the attack, thus leaving themselves vulnerable to the counter. In the end I have to go with Arsenal or nothing in this spot, but it in no way will be a big bet, maybe even no bet at all.
