do we double down and chase on purdue 2nd half?

Absolutely not. do not compound a bad bet by making another one at halftime trying to get your money back. fact is you can't lay these type of points on the road in conference. it just doesn't pay. just take the loss and move on

Purdue is looking pretty bad, but they could still win and cover this game.

I think NU is about a year away from making a serious run at the NIT with an NCAA possibility. Losing Moore will hurt, but he is the only Senior. Coble and Thompson are very good basketball players, and they have a lot of good young players that will hopefully continue to develop. I think Shurna will be a very good basketball player, Rowley and Shurna both have high upsides, and Peljusic has already shown some skills this year. They also have a couple nice recruits coming in with Alex Marcotulio (Michigan) and Drew Crawford (Naperville, IL). Not trying to sound like a homer here, but just something to keep an eye out for.

i like this team too. i watched them a few times and was impressed with what they can do. their style of play doesn't require elite talent so they can get by if they continue to bring in quality players like shurna. they don't look like world beaters, but if they can execute their offense they are very dangerous. they are long on defense that can create turnovers, like they are doing tonight. coble is a solid player, and so is Thompson. i like shurna. he can put on some more size, but being a freshman he will have time to do so. they really can spread you out, and when their shots are falling like they are tonight they can be a tough out, especially at home.

yes purdue has been in a funk all year. nw is a solid team, especially at home. purdue has shown you no reason they are worth putting their money on in the 2nd half. just cut your losses and move on

Hummel has not found away to get open against the 1-3-1 he has to lead the comeback if Purdue is going to comeback. Don't count on Northwestern to just give them the game. N'western will definitely play small ball and take the air out of the ball.

Purdue was -4 on my site and last night Wake Forest was -3.5 so how can you say you can't lay these types of points on the road in conference? That makes no sense you did it last night

I love reading shit in here people saying its over...NW played a brilliant first half and hit some big shots....Purdue doesnt have 11 turnovers-they would be winning this game. Ive watched NW enough this year to know that this game can be tied by the 15 minute mark. I have seem them come up anemic many on many occasions. I wouldn't be hitting the panic button yet

10-4. Do you think UCONN 2nd half would be a better bet (moneyline)- meaning do you think they win game?

Yeah, I agree with you HD. They are never going to wow anyone with their athleticism, but with the Princeton offense they have a much better chance of getting by with inferior athleticism. Assistant Coach Tavarias Hardy has done wonders for their recruting, especially in the Chicagoland area. They brought in Thompson and Capocci last year, Shurna Fruendt Rowley Mirkovic and Curletti this year, and have Crawford and Marcotulio coming in next year. Of those players Thompson, Capocci, Shurna, Fruendt, Rowley, and Crawford are all local players. They have never recruited that well in-state that I can remember.

made a situational play in this one under different circumstances maybe Purdue needing a win and N'western coming off a big win. Purdue would have the edge mentally. Purdue played nearly flawless against Wisconsin while N'western got pummeled by the same team in their previous game. Mental edge to the wildcats.
