Barry isn't the hitter Pujols is. He is a great power hitter but Pujols is far more dangerous overall because he does it in more ways than homeruns.

Its nothing against AP, it has to do with the stupidity of the managers and pitchers. Teams still give more respect to Bonds than they do AP. I know part of the reason is because AP has more protection in the lineup. But AP gets more quality pitches to hit than BB. If I were a manager I would handle AP much differently than most. I would make Edmounds and Rolen beat me.

Not much you can do with 0 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. Edmonds and Rolen followed him up with hits as well.

No argument from me man, I agree 100%. I'm not even a Cardinals fan but I am a big fan of what this man does with the bat. Incredible. At this same point in their careers it's not even close when you compare Bonds to Pujols.

Chop - we both agree on that. Rolen and Edmunds are much more potent than anything SF can throw out there to protect Bonds but they aren't Pujols. I don't know why they keep pitching to him in as many situations as they do. Make someone else beat you. This guy deserves all the respect in the world.

I tell you guys this man is so good that as soon as he went up to the plate I used therx search function to look for this thread because I knew what was going to happen.
Thats why this thread made it to the forum so fast. I had my mouse on the submit button as soon as he came up to bat.

If you look at AP career stats. If he can stay healthy he will break
alot of records in his career. He may have 800 HR's by the time he
retires.

He already has hit 220 HR's in 5 seasons and 33 games.
Lifetime BA of .332

220 HR's in 5 1/5 seasons DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!

800?

lets not get caught up in the hype.

AP is serious stuff bro. Nobody comes into baseball and
hits 200 HR is his first 5 seasons. Also isn't he still improving???

He is barely 25 years old and still hasn't reached his prime.
Only thing is he will be walked alot!!

My dads friend who is 80 years old said to me the other day
that AP was the best 25 yr old player of all time!!!
