My arguement is this......

Does Steroids helps performance?? Of course they do and there is no denying it.

Are all players competitive? Again yes!

Are players greedy? Yes!

Why would anyone not take steroids then?

The arguement that Kirby did not "look" like he was on roids holds no water! I know people who do roids and are only 140 pounds and I know people who do roids and are well over 300 pounds!

Once Kirby got out of the game and maybe off the juice, what happened? He BLEW UP! could it be because he was not taking the drugs anymore?

noob

He did'nt use roids because guys on roids have a high muscle mass, low body fat and really quick metabolism. As well as insane tempers. He was too chubby and laid back on ESPN for all of that.

He was a guy who was pudgy and hit over .310 without any drug abuse. Grab a cold one, post at therx and GET OVER IT.

If I had to make a guess, I would say no, he just doesn't fit the mold...not saying it is impossible, Pucket was never a real power hitter his stats never changed, most of his career was played before this stuff really took off.

He probably had very high blood pressure, the eye trouble, massive stroke, weight problem, he was not genetically gifted, he could flat out hit a baseball though.

No way Puckett used steroids. He has always been a little chubby. His eye made him retire from baseball way before he wanted to leave baseball. Pohlad, Twins owner, hired him for 500,000/yr to basically sign autographs, when he wanted to actually be involved with the organization. He then went through a terrible public divorce and then had some accusations of sexual assault that he was found not guilty for, could have happened or could not have happened. He fealt screwed by the Twins and was depressed. He let himself go and was starting to get back on track with a new woman and it was too late..........No way he used roids.

Also Puckett's family had a terrible history of health problems and deaths. Both parents died in like there 50's or 60's and he had a brother die in his 40's also.
