Hi Guys, I don't want to turn this into a political debate. However, In November, California voters are faced with two ballot propositions that deal with the legalization of online gambling in our state.
Obviously, I am in favor of online gambling options, as I currently use an offshore option.

The number of opposing commercials on these propositions is ridiculous.
Here, in California, the only legalized gambling is slots and table games at the Native American/ Indian casinos. They don't offer sports books at these locations.
However, these Indian casinos are mounting a huge opposition campaign to the online gambling lobby here.

The question I have is.........WHY???

Thoughts? Have you seen this in your state?

Nevada doesn't allow the lottery since the casinos worry that a dollar or two would float away from their properties. The Indians are worried about the same thing as online gambling dollars are not dollars spent at their tables, in their slots or on their firewater and fry bread.

Odds are that when one starts a post with this sentence , it turns into a political debate:unsure:

But the anwer is simple.....The only people who want things to be "fair" are those who DONT have the "Power".....once you have the power you do whatever you can from allowing others to take your piece of it.

Good luck getting the vote to legalize gambling in California. Pa voted yes and today.......all the residents are still waiting since 1989 for property relief tax refunds from the casino's government oversees not overseas ..... Gambling is good and bad. Good for the Government and bad for the people unless the government uses the millions profit for the people or themselves. I'd say the voters are rolling the dice....

Native American/ Indian casino govern themselves I'm sure you knew... Looks like they opened up a bingo hall and now.. wow!

History. The first Indian casino was built in Florida by the Seminole tribe, which opened a successful high-stakes bingo parlour in 1979. Other indigenous nations quickly followed suit, and by 2000 more than 150 tribes in 24 states had opened casino or bingo operations on their reservations.

Hey Bob, I hope all is well. I guess what you're saying makes sense. I just didn't see online sports bettors interfering with Indian Casino table revenue. There are plenty of Indian casinos here in Cali, I just don't go to them. Take care.

Here in CA people also voted for a gas tax increase & for Newsome to not be recalled. There are a lot of stupid people here, but I am also doubting if we are really voting. I have not met a single person from LA to San Diego who likes Newsome (even the Dems who originally voted for him). Newsome being able to stay in as Governor continued to feed the thought that the voting system is compromised. With that being said, since online gambling would benefit CA financially, I believe it will pass.
