Here's my take on it. Disclaimer: I've never used ABC Islands.
It looks like there are two issues here:
1. Should the bet stand? IMO, the bet should stand. As others have mentioned, one should always get clarification on a prop before betting it if it's not clear to them. That said, given that it's a common prop and that both teams were listed, I think it's clear as to what the meaning is. Since both teams are listed, how can it possibly be a prop of the Jets vs themselves -- i.e., the Jets do event x on their first drive? It has to be some event Jets vs Miami. If you're intent on disputing the wording, I think you'd have a better case if you claim to interpret it as something else Jets vs Miami.
2. ABC Islands' customer support. If their customer support sux (and it may very well), it's your option to not use the book. But that's not grounds for a refund for this particular bet.
When I chime in on these particular threads, I probably agree with the player more often than the book. However, I can't here as I think the book is in the right.
