You dont understand Chop, the huge contracts in the pro these days are very bad, they have made tickets prices over the top for good seats and again imo the guys these days do not love the game like the guys in the past that had to work their ass off to pay the bills, pro sports to me are a joke these days and the people that get hurt the worst of the fans that what it

Why are these huge contracts bad?
is it bad when you get a raise in your job?

Why is it bad for the fans?

The more money the higher the motivation for these players to get better and put a better product on the field.

The athletes in today's sports are the highest quality in the history of the world right now.

You have more access to free games then ever before.

So what is evil about players playing for money ?

Do you not like money?

And for you to imply that college is pure and pro is evil is comedy at its finest.

College sports is just as much about money as pro sports. Not that that's a bad thing.

i took back my life and my sundays back a couple of yrs back and i will never go back to it

You make watching a 3 hour football game sound so dramatic.

Well good for you if you think your viewing habits equate to a life changing event.

I agree with this. The cost to go to a game these days is outrageous. Parking, ticket, food. Ridiculous. I spent $70 once and the girl I was with had a free ticket. They gouge you out the ass. Its why they have these Billion dollar TV deals. How is it legal to black out games when the stadiums( generally) are paid with the public's money.

Chop how many pro games do you attend in all sports over a given yr

4 or 5 Saints games and 3 or 4 Braves games .

About a dozen Pelicans games?

Why?

Oh and BTW.

It cost me more money to attend a precious pure for the love of the game LSU (not for the money) football game then it cost me to go to an evil Saints game.

Yeah NFL games suck to go to as well unless you are a real diehard fan for the team. It is worse here because the stadium is in the middle of nowhere and you really have to make a daily trip out of the whole ordeal. Way better to watch on HD TV.

Price is ridiculous but when you got a regional monopoly with a growing population it is to be expected. Nice business to own.

If you are going to take this stance you are reduced to public access TV.

I don't think people on that channel make evil money.

And don't dare watch a Hollywood movie.

Some of them actors make over 20 mill per flick.

Maybe you should Go to a local high school play instead. Those people act for the love of acting.
They aren't like the evil Tom Cruise.

I don't understand why every freakin teams needs a new stadium once a decade. They just keep getting bigger and bigger and you know every team needs a retractable roof. Really, why do the Colts need a half ass retractable roof? For those 2 pre season games and the 2 September games? Every other time, it's closed.

seem like a lot of owners care more about the new stadiums these days than making their teams better imo.why because they want all the money from other events like concerts ect

Cool story but there is a lot of value in having a good team vs a bad team in most instances. You might find a few bad owners but most aren't deliberately neglecting their product.

No that not the point i was trying to make, it use to be about the game and making it better now it not on the top of the owners list imo.again we are talking about the pro game, i know the players are bigger and stronger these days, but imo the pro game was better yrs ago
