WASHINGTON (AP) — Declaring the Patriot Act a vital tool in the war on terror, President Bush says Congress would place the nation at greater risk of attack if it fails to renew the law's wide-ranging law enforcement powers.

One thing the 9-11 hearings has accomplished is the need for the Patriot Act. Some modifications are needed, but even Janet Reno supports the law.

Shotgun, you're a fan of Janet Reno??? She's not quite up to Asscroft's level of fascist idiocy but she's no prize either. Who gives a shite what she has to say. She was probably the worst decision President Clinton ever made.

The two primary differences between Reno are political affiliation and Reno not being a religous fanatic.

Otherwise, they're both prosecutors. And the Patriot Act is a prosecutors' dream since it removes vital constitutional liberties.
