pjelly ,
i've done nothing but make sense. giving you comman opp, scores, stats, shooting % of tourney teams, the only thing i haven't giving you is states jock sizes, but who would know better than you.

i tried to argue with rational, but you truely are clueless so i have been reduced to acting like a child. i feel you would be more at home that way.

and your right, it is ..........

maybe get some balls and start your own thread, actually pick a side, not just your double talk.

maybe state wins, who knows. i was just defending the fact that to say the zags wouldn't finish in the top four of the big ten, or pac ten is stupid. or they couldn't beat a big conf school by 10, which the zags did.

state has to get by nevada first. but hell, i don't even know what side you're even on. do you?

Here is my quote from that original thread:

They certinaly would not win the pac ten. As bad as the big ten is, I highly doubt they'd win that either. They wouldn't even finish in the top five if they played in the ACC.

I went on to say that they would not win by ten in Champaigne or Madison, and that they would likely lose both SU.

If it makes you feel smarter to put words into my mouth first, and then argue them, that's fine. I'm not sure where you found where I said that they wouldn't finish in the top four of either conference, but then, according to you, I'M the irrational one, so maybe I'm just being irrational again.

I never even said that I believed Michigan State would get past Nevada. I simply said I'd love to see a St./Zaga second-round matchup.

for the record this entire thread is a moot point since Nevada will beat MSU.

I hope you are wrong winky

Truely - please stop calling him names... If you must provoke him with the issues then fine - but keep it a rational discussion and keep the personal stuff out of it. It just makes for a better disucssion.

PJA - my point was that I think people should not make statements that will provoke others. You stopped by to drop a few words and it wasnt clear to anyone other than truely what you were talking about. So I asked "What is your point", then I stated my position on the issue hoping you would follow suit.

If we can keep the personal BS out of everything then everyone's point would be considered for the merit of the facts themselves.

Lets move on.

I'd love to see the matchup too.

Amen. With that being said, I tend to agree with Winky. Nevada has one of the best man-to-man defenses in the field of 65, imo. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that only 3 teams have shot above 50% against them all season. They're also much bigger than MSU inside. MSU is going to have a time time scoring, as the open perimeter jumpers won't be there.

MSU has had trouble playing 40 minutes of defense this season. They are going to need to if they want to beat Nevada. It'll be interesting to see what Izzo cooks up, he always seems to have something in the NCAAs, but if MSU plays at the same level that they played during the regular season, Nevada has an advantage imo.

Tough one

I still stick to my theory here that day in and day out Michigan State had to face tougher competition than Gonzaga or Nevada.

However, I can't get around that Kansas win by Nevada.

If it weren't for that one win I would say MichState would have no trouble. Now I dont know.

I guess I'll just have to wait for the game.

GL guys

PS thanks for cleaning it up pja and truely

Gonzaga is 15 points better than Mich State.

But the game will be Gonzaga vs NEvada anyway.

and that will be an interesting game.

no problem Jaypaw

and to help you on a couple others you were wondering about.

No Illinois cant beat Duke

And yes Kansas if they get by Providence has a shot against Kentucky they can win that game. Kentucky starts slow in many games and might not be able to reel Kansas in.
