Pot Limit Question...

Ok, been playing poker for a little bit (played live, in Vancouver a few times and lots of times online) here in london I live near a casino that has 1/2 pounds pot limit (pt which i have never played before) and a casino very far away that has 1/2 fixed limit. the question is, is it worth going all the way to the fixed limit casino? Consequently what im asking is if pot limit is so much a different game to fixed limit.

Pot and fixed are very different games. If you are a good player pot limit should be much more profitable given the ability to manipulate pot sizes and odds.

If you are not such a good player, pot limit could be quite expensive.

played today...bought in for 60 pounds and won 370.

If you get used to pot limit, you will never go back to limit. I envy you for being so close to live pot limit games. I'd take advantage if I were you. Just start small until you get a feel for it and move up slowly if successful.
