Real quick, why the post requirements ?

I mean, I understand you want a certain number of posts so that you know it's a faithful Rx'er and won't vanish from certain contests, etc...

But most contests are 300 posts ? I viewed this forum and was faithful to this forum for about 2 years, but just observed and didn't type. I was always interested in keeping a "Record Tracker" for my main sport of football, especially NCAA, but then came across the post requirement. I've wanted to get in promotional contests, but post requirement.

I don't know, I guess I"m just wondering why 300 .... That's a lot of post. The best-average Rx'er averages around 2 posts a day, and I think 150 days is a little over-qualified to be involved in a contest. Just a question, not a complaint. I plan on getting 300 by NCAA football, anyways.

Actually most contests have a small post requirement of around 100 posts and some have zero post requirements. The main reason for the 100 post requirement is to keep posters from creating ghosts to enter free contests with multiple logins.

Most get their start in the Offshore Form and some have their own contest folder later (just below sport forums)..

I don't think I've seen many contest where there isn't some kind of requirement. Many even require a deposit to claim the prize!

Actually about 90% of the contests here at The Rx. are free. Some do pay off higher if you make a single minimum bet (around $10) during a specific time period during the contest. That is not a rigid requirement though posters can still win without any kind of monetary investment.
