I see reading further that some legit discussion has already been raised to redirect those with more passionate interest in Hot Political Opinions to a forum that is more suited for NoHoldsBarred chat and thus could serve as a welcome relief for the RxSportsCappingForum Mod team.

For non-sports and sports capping chat, that's a progressive and creative idea which should be pursued, imho

Would keep the core group of cyber friends and connections together while relieiving the RxForum Sports Handicapping Mod Team of needless headaches.

Barman ... I will gladly take these "problems" off of your hands. I have a website that caters to the very subjects you seem to loath. Problem is you guys disabled my site to where I can't even type it because it shows up as ******** .. LOL

Agreed - how their isn't a financial section here to discuss the current economic state and it's effect on gambling and the world as a whole doesn't make alot of sense.

I respectfully disagree with your decision to change the forums name Wilheim.

bottom line is a few guys, this week its scott L, that couldnt keep the discussion reasonable and realize honest people sometimes disagree, ruined this forum.

back in the day, when netteller, pinnacle, and dozens of books were advertising here and bringing in alot of revenue for rx, this forum was accepted and tolerated.

the poli forum was never anything more than a necessary evil, a type of loss-leader at this website. its sort of like the single deck, deep-deal blackjack at downtown lv casinos. they kept it around when times were good knowing it wasnt an earner, but it maintained foot traffic and kept seats filled. when times got rough, it was among the first things to be tossed.

its too bad since there are alot of guys that have posted and still post in this forum, that add value in various other parts of website, but may not be around as often without the poli forum. this forum has lost alot of great posters in the past 6-18 months.

those from the sell, sell, sell thread that leave, stop by and let the forum know new watering holes you find.

it might help if people learned to use the ignore feature when their feelings get hurt instead of bitching to the mods. of course, if you use the ignore feature then you can't read what that person has to say.

kind of like people who watch a program on tv that they know is going to offend them, then they go bitch about it to the fcc.

The "coincidence" is that increased hassles for RxMods related to moderating the Politics Forum have coincided with the election of Obama.

Reality… Wil got upset with BO being continually criticized.

I personally believe it's a bit more about this being summer (baseball season) of a non-election year where the majority of forum members are bored and posting all manner of sillyness in order to just keep the PoliticoPub warm.

Reality… sillyness is in the eye of the beholder.

But bottom line is that the more RxMods have to deal with ReportAPosts and back and forth racially charged bickering, the more it distracts us from doing the other work of moderating the site at large.

Reality… It come with the territory.

And while there are nine of us, it's unusual for more than a couple of us to be around after 6pm.

Reality… So what?

At the lusty pay rate we all receive (well under $20 a day) I hope the user at large can appreciate that we're really not diggin' the need to keep a handful of posters separated.

Reality…. Then don’t, I mean the worst thing that could happen is someone will stop posting. You know, one less egg to fry.

Believe me now and hear me later - The RxMod team, including yours truly, would be more than happy to eliminate the Politics Forum entirely and point users to any one of the other thousands of political based chat forums on the WWW. But then we would spend an inordinate amount of time Moving Topics out of Offshore and other forums every time someone started a thread about Obama/Republicans/taxes/Bush/Iraq/World Events/Finance.

Reality… Just create a sticky at the TOP of the forum:

Anyone starting a thread with...

Obama/Republicans/taxes/Bush/Iraq/World Events/Finance in the title will be banned.

That should solve your dilemma (<)<

i don't know. i think when someone goes crying to a mod, the mod is put in a position where they have to enforce the rules that most of us probably haven't bothered to read, in which case the mod probably gets a case of the ass for the headache and goes a step or two beyond waht was necessary.

so, maybe the moral is, if you're going to go whine to the teacher, don't whine when the teacher goes beyond slamming the person you were tattling on.

I’ve never talked off the record with Barman but 2 years ago when I first started posting here I emailed Wil and inquired about Doc Mercer and why the Rx condoned his rhetoric. I was told it was a matter of free speech.

Scott, you are the one crying here...you've been crying for years and I dont expect that to change. Wilheim chooses to cater to your punk ass. Its his forum, so its take it or leave it for the rest of us.

Its real simple as I posted yesterday in the thread that was chopped.

Ill type it once here. It used to be doc mercer, but you have been mostly responsible for ruining the poli forum. It being reduced to what it is now, merely saves me the time I was spending posting in the poli forum.
