[h=1]Poker Pro Fails In Bet To Eat $1,000 Worth Of McDonald's In 36 Hours[/h] [h=2]Michael Noori Only Finishes About 10 Percent Of Bet[/h]

Nearly everybody thought it was impossible, and they were right.
California poker pro Mike Noori over the weekend began an attempt to eat $1,000 worth of McDonald’s (not including drinks) in 36 hours. The idea for the prop bet came from Poker Hall of Fame nominee Matt Savage.
After 10 hours into the bet, Noori had only consumed $90 worth of the fast food, according to a Twitter update. The bet was eventually aborted at around the $100 mark, according to tweets. Some commentators called the effort “pathetic,” but Noori was apparently already struggling just 10 percent of the way through the bet.
More than $200,000 worth of action was booked for the bet, according to Noori, though his stake was only a “tiny piece of it.” Bettors on Noori were reportedly getting 5-1.
Noori’s plan had been to start with $500 worth of apple slices, but that didn’t end up happening. He only ordered $50 worth of them and had mashed them into an apple sauce.
Noori has about $400,000 in lifetime tournament earnings. The largest score of his career came last summer in a $1,500 WSOP event in which he finished fourth for $74,000.

Funny how he only ordered $50 worth of Apples ... $500 would have really screwed him
Guess he didn't know that Apples are a natural appetite suppressant !!!

It would be almost impossible to eat 1k worth of food in 36 hrs even at a place like Ruth's Cris Steak house .
much less McDonald's .

this might be the dumbest bet ever

I don't do Ruth Chris but i would think you can do their Porterhouse ( which should be the highest item on the menu ) in an Hour or so

Never really thought about how much $1,000 in McDonalds would look like.
Haven't been to a McD's in a very long time. I think a BigMac Meal was like $5.99 ?? so to get to $1,000, that's a lot of stuff

The most expensive is the tomahawk ribeye which is $115 but it's 42 ounces which is basically 2 steaks.

Cant imagine one person being able to eat more the 4 or 5 of those in a 36 hr period .

Then all the sides and things would take a lot to equal 1k

Cant do a Big Mac meal because he can't have the drink .

So the Big Mac and the fries sold seperately wirhout the drink would be much less.

And wtf?

$10
for a Big Mac meal?

so what would you order ? 8 tomahawk ribeye's ? with a couple of sides ??

Probably mostly petite filets. More expensive per ounce than even the tomahawk. $39 for 8oz.

I'd probably try to stay away from the carbs.

Caesar salad, 2x petite filets w/dipping trio, grilled asparagus. That's $106, and is not even that big of a meal. 1lb meat with a salad and asparagus. Easy.

Let's say you start at 8am one day.

Come in hungry, I could eat that right at the beginning. Then

Noon
4pm
8pm
midnight
--sleep--
7am
Noon
4pm
7:30pm

that puts me at $954

Order some dessert and call it a day
