Who is buying tickets to these events? Checking on Stub Hub tickets for the championship games decent seats are $2000 (Philly) which includes a $450 service charge. Seats way up in the end zone $1375 incl $$225 Service charge

Then the real fun begins Super bowl lower level apx 10 yd line $10,000 which includes $ $2639 service charge. Who is buying these tickets?
I know some people have access to cheaper tickets but that's more the exception than the rule, Stub Hub along with the other outlets have plenty of these tickets for sale. As a matter of fact they have plenty of seats priced even higher than what I'm quoting here.
Not that I find the ticket prices fair in anyway but what's with the service fees? When they get to be $1000 - $2000 and more I have to ask what is the service? If they are selling tickets to an event that cost $100 a service fee of around $25 is charged ... Just because they are gouging us for tickets how do they justify those much higher service fees? The service provided is the same no matter what the ticket price so again how do they justify that?
Obviously there are plenty of people who are all right with these charges ... I could afford that amount (if I was a little insane) but this high I have to say not me.
Are there people here who think this is a fair system?

Key is buying ahead of time

Or waiting til last second (risky but worst case is you're watching game on TV)

Going to AFC title game. Bought tix before Buffalo game and they were reasonable relatively to what you're seeing now

You are right, it's a nightmare

Just going to Florida Gators games I hate trying to fight the crowds in the stadium going to the concessions or bathrooms

It’s an absolute nightmare that most people aren’t aware of . Going to a game of this caliber and paying astronomical prices and not sitting in a suite is mind blowing . Viewing from home or bar is best option. Simple pleasures of fridge and toilet is the greatest date to the big game.

The NFL didn't set those prices, the market of supply and demand, did.
So true ... It's obvious the intent is to gouge us for all they can but why are people not upset with the over inflated service charges or should I say unnecessary service charges .... I did go in 2005 NE/Eagles with buddies so I only had to buy 1 ticket and from what I remember it was $1200 ... I can't remember an astronomical service fee ... Oh and the bathrooms didn't seem much worse than normal.

I would go this year if Eagles are in and I could get something for $2000 ... any offers?

You want congress to pass a law sporting events are cheaper or something?

If the service fees weren't so high then it would just show up in the ticket price. You live in the richest country in the world and people have money to blow on non-essential entertainment.

People love the laundry man. Is what it is.
