Apples and oranges Pete. Rivalry games are a different animal and if you have ever played in one you would understand that emotions are quite different and sometimes you're laser focused to beat your rival, even with less talent.

By your argument New Mexico St. would kick the crap out of Alabama. Louisville lost to Pitt this year. Louisville had a chance to beat FSU in the championship game but fell a little short.

You don't like Alabama so you're biased. FSU beat LSU opening weekend and it chafes your behind that occured.

The SEC champ deserves to be in. Period. End of story! And the committee backed that up.

Motherfucker, I’ve played more football games in the SEC than you’ve even attended. The last thing I need to read from you is an explanation in rivalry. And, I’m telling you that a 13-0 conference champion deserves to be in that playoff if it truly IS a playoff. But what you have this year is an invitational.

5 power conferences, 4 spots

This was the first year all 5 had deserving teams. The acc fell short and again deserved too. They were by far the worst of the 5. And you can get over the sec and Alabama hate. Had Georgia won, fsu was still getting left out over Texas. Where’s the hate for Texas and the screaming bias for Texas?

Florida state wasn’t left out for a 1 loss Alabama and sec champ. They were left out for that AND a 1 loss big 12 champion.

Not going to get a true test because of transfer portal. But I think Georgia wins. It will be a game that everyone wants to see because of the perceived injustice FSU got

Correct me if I'm wrong!!!!! But back when they voted on an expansion, wasn't it the ACC commissioner that voted against it along with the Big 10 commissioner. Those 2 votes against prevented it from going to a 12 team play off this year. If i remember this right all I can say is "karma is a bitch" mister commissioner!

ACC really isn't a great conference. To go through undefeated is no great feat. FSU beat LSU first game of the season but was that really that great of a win?

It sucks if you're a FSU fan or an Alabama hater but it shook out exactly how it should have.

It's not an invitational, that's a fools argument.

The committee never encountered 5 13-0 teams but what if they had in the past? Which conference would have been left out?

When you nominate 5 conferences as "the power 5" and you have 4 slots to fill, some team is getting disappointed every single year. The committee has year after year weighted the SEC conference as the top conference in the power 5. Most people will admit the SEC is the best conference. The SEC Champion wasn't getting left out.

Disappointment is part of life. If Lou Holtz was the coach he would turn it into a positive somehow for FSU!

Just wondering will kirby take it easy on flat st after being skipped over... Saying ga can blow fly st away but late in game will kirby put in 4th string for a back door cover
