The News
Steelers' wide receiver Plaxico Burress participated in the first part of practice on Thursday, but had to leave after seven-on-seven drills because his injured hamstring is not at full-strength. "It [the hamstring] felt pretty good at the early part of practice, but it gets fatigued kind of fast," Burress told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I felt it [tweak] a little bit, and I just took the rest of the day off." When asked about if he can play on Sunday, Plaxico told the paper, "If I'm not ready to play, I'm not ready to play. I'm not going to go out and hurt myself more. What we are trying to accomplish is bigger than one game."</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top width=15>

Our View
This is certainly a setback to Burress' original plan of returning this week. If he can't go on Sunday Antwaan Randle El will get his second straight start. Burress owners should prepare not to have him in the lineup this week, as it appears the hamstring hasn't healed enough for him to play on.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
