Wow, over 9k posts and you think this way...I sort of feel bad for you. And to think, no player, ref QB or coach has every talked about this. Most be a huge conspiracy...

they have you nieve nimwit.

Go research Ron Blum and find out why he was demoted to a back judge, and his ties to organized crime.

Go read Tim Greens book.

An you know what, they just send out people like you to dispell it and make it a conspiracy.

This shit today was no conspiracy. It smacked you right smack dab in the face and you arent smart enouogh to see it.

Would you bite the hand that feeds you? Would you risk being outcast & your family hounded? I wouldnt, if im making money hand over fist, I do what they want me to do, gimme a million dollars a year & I will throw 5 picks in any game sir. Also, I dont think alot of players are involved, maybe the Qb, but I do feel the offensive & defensive coordinators are definately involved along with the refs.

I will ask the question again, since no one can answer it. IF THE GAME WAS FIXED, WHY WOULD THE REFS NULLIFY PITTSBURGH'S RUSHING TOUCHDOWN ON THEIR FINAL DRIVE?

Dude, WTF are you talking about? That TD covered the spread so they called holding. Then some freak ass occurence happens and P-Burgh covers the number and there is nothing they can call. They panic. Cant explain it or justify it, so they just make some shit up, TV goes off the air & the refs run away. Game over 11-10.

I think it is more like this, THe league says, look, we really need SD +4 to come in today, so do what you can to not cover the 4.....but you can still win!

Correct. Sock puppet just wants attention.

Trust me, attention or lack of it doesn't affect me either way. I'm just sick of the mass whining that's pervaded this board over the last couple of years. The forum was once an excellent place to get ideas and share opinions, but too many of the members who have joined in the last couple of years have turned it into a forum that swings between a place for cheerleading or crying "fixed" when a bad beat comes along.

I had hoped one mildly sarcastic thread might head off 10 more from starting, but I was wrong about that.

you people are fucking ridiculous...assuming that the nfl is rigged just because you dont understand a call that was made that cost you money... the call was correct..even if you assume the call was incorrect there is no way that play could have been fixed...what if the pass was incomplete? what if they passed it deeper? what if the defense never picked up the ball? there are so many things that cannot be fixed that people saying this just gets me angry. man up and take the loss. the call was correct. you are not an nfl referee you do not know the intricacies of the rules. the play was ruled correctly. stop thinking that because you think you got screwed that you are automatically correct.

did you even watch the game. that was a lateral pass. i didn't have money on that game and could see that was rigged.

Just wrong

Coming from a fellow Mets' fan: Give it up!

The play was correct as called & a number of people have explained it; the first lateral was a forward lateral where the play becomes dead.

Directly from NFL.com:

":)05) (Shotgun) 17-P.Rivers pass short middle to 21-L.Tomlinson to SD 24 for 3 yards. Lateral to 89-C.Chambers to SD 26 for 2 yards (43-T.Polamalu). FUMBLES (43-T.Polamalu), RECOVERED by PIT-43-T.Polamalu at SD 12. 43-T.Polamalu for 12 yards, TOUCHDOWN. The Replay Assistant challenged the backward pass ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) 17-P.Rivers pass short middle to 21-L.Tomlinson, dead ball declared at SD 26 for 5 yards. PENALTY on SD-21-L.Tomlinson, Illegal Forward Pass, 0 yards, enforced at SD 5."
The pass if forward has to hit the ground to be ruled dead. It didn't hit the ground, therefore the touchdown should have counted. Know the rules before you comment, wild general!

I'm not going to lie I won money on this game...the call was a bad call. I do agree wolf you hit that shit right on the spot man. They needed SD to cover and made it happen. Although the so call TD at the end looked legit to me. It shouldn't have even been that close. Glad it wasn't though.

GL to all on your future wagers. Lets hope next time we're all on the same side though.

I agree I got lucky SD +4 today.

Ref admitted TD should have counted, making everything you just said BS.

Just take the money & run

Cmon man, a bad beat? Please. I use this forum as an outlet at 1AM to complain about a losing/bad beat a lot, but todays game was an outright fix. No denying it.

Well said CC.....I didnt even lose money on the game had Pitt ML and pushed my 2H Pitt bet. Just shocked how obvious and sloppy todays dupe job was. IT wasnt even just the last play, every decent gainer Pitt had or short 3rd down out came the laundry.

Some people continue to amaze. At least from GoGo this is not about who won their bet and who did not. This is the NBA all over again though to what level not sure.

1. 13-1 penalties against Pitt. Pitt was the home team.
2. Phantom PI gave SD first and goal on their first TD>
3. There was no penalty flag on the play in question at the end of the game.
4. They reviewed the play even though there was really no reason to. Both teams were ready to get off the field.
5. The referee reviewed the play and said their was an illegal forward pass despite replays showing no CLEAR conclusive evidence. If the replay does not show clear evidence, which it did clearly not, why call the play dead?
6. NFL rules state even with the supposed forward pass as long as the ball does not hit the ground the play is still alive. So the play is not dead at the spot of foul. Again NFL rules.
7. The ref was in the booth for at least 5-7 minutes. It was much longer than a normal replay review. If the play had no effect on outcome of the game then why would someone be in the booth that long? Since it took that long why didn't someone up in the booth help advise him of the rule?
8. The ref admitted after the game that he got the ruling wrong.
9. The NFL says it has no effect on the outcome of the game yet total points is 7th in tiebreakers for playoff spot. So apparently its does have an affect on the game.

Cannot believe that anyone with a rational mind cannot look at this game with doubts about the legitamcy of some NFL games. This is ridiculous.

I'm with you, GoGo. I was watching this game live, saw the TD happen, then saw the refs in the review booth come out and rule it a TD. Then, at some point after that, the TD came off the board, after I had turned it off. WTF? Why were they even bothering with the review in the first place if it had no effect on the outcome? And would they have gone to the trouble if either team was up by a few TDs? I have always been extremely skeptical of those who say that the NFL is fixed, but something was definitely fishy with this one.

Did you watch the game??? Did you see the play and what unfolded after it???

The play was not called correctly, the ref admitted it, so get your facts straight before you open your mouth...

I do know the rules and the NFL refs really don't know the rules with all the mistakes they make. I had no money on the game...

The ref was shitting a brick, it was obvious he was nervous about something... How do you call it a td with no flag then review it and there is no conclusive evidence that is a forward pass come back call it a touchdown lineup for the extra point then change your mind about the td and say no touchdown game over and run off the field...

Are you kidding me??? NFL got their hand caught in the cookie jar today and they willnot be able to live it down just like the NBA has been proven that they manipulate games for ratings and longer series...The NFL manipulates games for gambling purposes as proven today...

I feel bad for someone like yourself as it is pretty obvious that you are in need of brain cells. If the refs fixed the game, why would they call holding to nullify Pittsburgh's rushing TD at the end of the 4th?

Huh??????? They didnt want the Steelers to cover, what are you smoking dude?
