Wow man, you completely missed the point of his post.

you missed the point. The obvious fix would have never had to occur and nobody would have said anything about 13 penalties against Pit and 1 against SD.

Had Willie Parker gone up the middle and the blantant hold had not occurred on the TD run, I guarantee a holding penalty would have been called there.

How about he PI call vs Pit early in the game that resulted in the a 1st and goal at the 2.

I even argued against the Super Bowl being fixed and I had Seattle, but no I must remove myself from the Coma that I have been in and finally after 20 years have realized that some of these games are fixed in terms of the point spread.

There is corruption in religion, politics, the financial sector but gambling and pro sports have no corrruption?

PLeas guys stop with the bad calls stuff............this game was phony as hell. If you cant see it here, you never will....this is exactly how the NFL controls the games the books need. This officiating crew just did a piss poor job of it & put themselves in a bad posiiton for the unordinary to happen at the end ofthe game allowing a cover.

Translation............"I am sorry for anyone who bet Pittsburgh today. We had to make sure Pittsburgh did not win by 4 or 5 and we did that. So, the way I see it we did our jobs and did them well. The whole free world bet Pitt today due to the SD travel factor & a couple of bigtime mobsters got wind of the fix, uhm, I mean the fact Pittsburgh wont win by 4 or 5 and hit SD heavy prior to kickoff. Roethlisberger held his end of deal by not allowing Pittsburgh to score an offensive TD too. If it wasnt for those kamikaze special teams guys doing that silly hokey pokey, we couldve snuck out of there and no one wouldve had any idea.
Why do people keep bringing the west coast teams traveling east. It only affects 12:00 games. It does'nt take a genious to realise that at 3 its already 1 on the west coast. So there is no advantage in playing at 3 for the east coast team.

Thanks for the translation Wolf. I think you hit the nail on the head on this one. :howdy:

I don't bet NFL, but I did watch this game. I gotta say, I feel for Pitt-backers. I've been screwed, myself, on tons of occasions of betting MMA, where guys who clearly won the fight, were announced as losers, early stoppages, questionable point deductions, and so forth.

All these guys telling the Pitt-backers to "quit whining" and "get over it," are little more than pieces of shits. If they were on Pittsburgh, they would've been crying foul. But humanity is selfish and sadistic, and it's really a shame that it's so hard to find genuine empathy in this world.

I think you're missing the big picture. It's not good for the players, coaches, true fans, or kids if the games aren't authentic. This was a total joke and any true fan would be upset about this. It's not ok for the refs to manipulate and micromanage games by overturning plays for literally no reason.

Nice post!

Where are you idiots at now who tried to say it was an illegal lateral?

Now that the league has come out to say they got the call wrong (which of course anyone with a brain knew since 7:30PM.)

Keep the keep up my friends Santa will be coming down your chimney in no time as well.:ohno:

Gogo, SD was the right side to choose in this game ats, win or lose.
They played improved defense that slowed down an excellent Steelers offense.
The west to east coast theory was due to start fading off.
And this was a must-win situation for SD.
Pitt has not played that well at home to expect to cover 5 say.
I didn't need much more than that to see SD as my side.
Relatively poor performance last week vs. KC, and in the NFL the opposite usually happens the next week.
Alot of factors to make SD a play at +4, 4.5, 5, 5.5....

Sorry for your loss GoGo, i would be pissed too, but just come back harder. It would have been a very lucky cover if it counted. Its more just SD stupidity in handling the ball, and should have just thrown a bomb with better odds at a td.

Since they say they got the call wrong... will they reverse the score? Cuz it was as time was expiring so nothing else would really be affected ie: SD running back a kickoff etc.

That's good they fucking came out to apologize, those fucks.

Love the spin the NFL is putting on the Sd/ PITT game now.

The Chargers and Steelers make history due to the final score of 11-10....first time ever.

What a bunch of bullshit conartists these pricks are and the media gobbles it up.

BB, with all due respect that is BS. SD the right side...yeah OK. Yeah they played a great game. So in your eyes there was nothing unusual about how this game played out.

GoGos point has much to do with the integrity or the perceived integrity in sports. Even if you remove gambling from the equation completely, I think we could all agree the point of Instant Replay is to insure the calls on the field/court are correct.

The replay system was designed to STOP the precise problem that it actually created today through its use in the SD/Pit game.

Given the access to replay...(since most replays see the same angles as TV coverage) there's no excuse for what happened.

And then to realize a mistake was made and still not make a change??

The effect is they blew the call TWICE (during the game and after it) WITH Instant Replay.

You guys that are bitching about a fix. Why don't you put it into reason for a minute.

Did the NFL call Jeff Triplett before the game and say "San Diego can not lose by more than 5 points. Keep it close."

Be real about this. I love how only the steeler bettors are bitching. I didn't hear any charger bettors come on here and say "hey that was a bad call....I want to give my money back." This is such an isolated thing that over the course of your betting career you are going to be on the other side of these situations.

I didn't hear about any bettors complaining about being on the same side of any of Tim Dohaghy's games.

If you think that all pro sports are fixed.....the shut the FK up and live with it. Nothing is going to change!!! The NFL makes BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM GAMBLING! They are not going to kill the cash cow!!! What was ever the need for a MNF game. Think about it. What is the reason that a game needs to be played on Monday? Oh that's right to give gamblers a chance to get even!

Office pools, bar parlay cards, number boards at bars, fantasy football, and sports betting make the NFL what it is. If it's FIXED....ok then. I'll keep that in the back of my mind and go from there. I am going to be on boths sides of a fixed game throughout my career so what.

If you are betting within your means this is all nothing but a little bump in the road!
