Pitching matchups you remember growing up

First one that comes to mind for me is Vida Blue vs Frank Tanana and or Nolan Ryan. Both these teams sucked Lou Brock won his case inception of free agency came to be and all the A’s That won three world titles in a row bailed finally free of Charlie Finley. Poor Vida was stuck. Was unbalanced schedules back then you played mostly within your division(was AL East and West)and sure enough when the A’s went to Anaheim he’d get either Frank or Nolan was a classic more times than not and 5 days later do it all over again.
