Greetings Rob, Well Spurs still can sweep, Lakers cannot. So still alive there. Had Spurs 1/2H -2 1/2, Spurs -4 also. So ok day. To be honest, I think the best from the Spurs has yet to be seen. Lakers still cannot stop most basic pick and roll. Spurs 4Q defense, close to shutdown, Spurs just younger, deeper and quicker, especially Parker. Pop and Zenman back and forth adjustments, but Lakers just do not have horses like 3 years ago. I think Spurs win again game #2. Like I have posted 10 times, Spurs sweep, or in 5 if Lakers win #3. SAN ANTONIO (AP) The San Antonio Spurs forced the Lakers into 10 fourth-quarter turnovers and held Los Angeles without a field goal for a six-minute span, using a late 10-0 run to cement an 88-78 victory Sunday in Game 1 of their second-round series.

The Lakers succeeded in getting Tim Duncan out of the paint, but he still scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to help the Spurs overcome their 9-for-21 free throw shooting.

The win was the Spurs' 16th straight since late March.

Game 2 in the best-of-seven series is Wednesday night.

Tony Parker added 20 points and nine assists for San Antonio, while Manu Ginobili had 11. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 31 points. Gary Peyton was 1 for 8 from the floor.
