Making a move to get quite a few players and hopefuly even action to allow the 7 percent rebate. The Track takeout avg 20=25 percent plus breakage which can add up quite a bit(5% more) on small payoffs.
Layoffs bets dont make much sense since they will lose 7 percent rebate on those.
One problem for the bettor is when he hits a nice number p3/p4 and the track comes back with no winner and pays off on 3/4(which is what you will get) tz pointed this out on another board.
Also I think they said no consolation payoffs in case of late scr(which they also said is advantage to player-???still thinking on that one...I think Id rather be alive with my ticket if hit the first few legs rather than a refund...
Gotta think they had a good consulant on this move-who is it?JJ?

There are no minimum weekly volume requirements and there is no maximum on how much you can earn. Small players get just as high a percentage as big players.
No limit on rebates earned.

On the other side of the street, one of the better horse posters came with a hypothetical question that is not is Pinnacle's rules. What if you bet a superfecta and the all is paid for fourth. Is Pinnacle going to pay the player the whole pool minus the takeout? How about a Pik 3 or 4 where you may have the winning combo at Pinnacle but no one
does at the track? How does Pinnacle handle that?

Some responses I got from Pinnacle (it's amazing what you can find out if you ask the book). These are paraphrased, but I feel represent the answers.
Whether the money you bet with them finds it's way back into the track parimutual pook will be decided on a wager by wager basis. They will SOMETIMES be laying off the wager, sometimes keeping it, depending on their own handicapping, the level of exposure, and how good they think the client is at horses. When they lay it off, with smaller parimutuals it will probably find it's way back into the parimutual pool, with larger parimutuals, it probably will NOT.
KEY word being PROBABLY.
So, if you are going to make a wager that will affect the payout, expect it to make its way back to the pool.
As of this time, they have no intention of adding Canadian harness tracks to the available tracks.

I just want to meet the racing <expert> @ Pinnacle who decides what gets booked & what gets laid off. I am stunned at some of the responses I am seeing on this forum! Posters praising Pinnacle for their new rule, but yet admitting that they may be calling some off.
I am not sure who is getting it up the ass more, the wise guy hammering an exacta at Freehold or the poor 2 dollar player who has the same exacta. Pinnacle lays big or wise action off into the pool At no risk using them for a nice rebate while booking the small time guy and possibly shorting him on his gimmicks.
So next time you 20.00 bettors have a 5.00 exacta box from Harrington with a pair of 7-1's and the exacta pays $12.00 you can sat "MAN I LOVE PINNACLE HORSES"
