"I haven’t really mentioned booze yet. Considering that Hjördis’ reputation since her death has revolved around alcoholism; that seems like an oversight. However, chronologically there isn’t really that much to report before 1955. She was regularly photographed on nights-out, but there are precious few references to her alcohol consumption beyond attendance at cocktail parties.
So far the only real mention has been the no-food, gin-only lunch at Wilcot Manor back in 1950. However, that was more a story about her aversion to food rather than love of drink."
