Definitely the Imperial spent lots of time there, Jay Kornegay the Westgate Sportbook Manager was there many years ago and he would set what he called puck chaser lines after periods in hockey. Was cool to see that since it was the only place that did that many years ago.

Amazing photo, where you can see no longer a young woman, well-dressed playing the machine in the hope of winning the jackpot. I guess that's the spirit behind Vegas' whole history...

I really enjoyed going to Vegas in the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

Hell of a lot better than now.

Old pictures bring back lots of memories...............

Nice old thread. Remember as a 14 yr old in the mid 70's traveling through Vegas with mom and dad. Stopped on Fremont street in front of the Fremont. Dad gave me a handful of nickles and told me to act dumb if I got caught. Went into the Fremont and played a nickle slot closest to the door. After about three spins a guy puts his hand on my shoulder and said "Son, your not supposed to be in here." My dad, watching from the sidewalk, saw I was busted and came in and said, "Son, what are you doing in here, I've been looking for you? Sorry sir!" Good times! After that experience couldn't see the appeal of those old slots. Seemed boring to a 14 yr old.
