Nice old thread. Remember as a 14 yr old in the mid 70's traveling through Vegas with mom and dad. Stopped on Fremont street in front of the Fremont. Dad gave me a handful of nickles and told me to act dumb if I got caught. Went into the Fremont and played a nickle slot closest to the door. After about three spins a guy puts his hand on my shoulder and said "Son, your not supposed to be in here." My dad, watching from the sidewalk, saw I was busted and came in and said, "Son, what are you doing in here, I've been looking for you? Sorry sir!" Good times! After that experience couldn't see the appeal of those old slots. Seemed boring to a 14 yr old.
