If the Eagles are focused, they can win this game by double digits and not break a sweat. The Bears are miserable even though Justin Fields is doing the best he can with a poor unit around him. But trying to turn the corner when his targets are blanketed by Eagles’ defenders won’t be enough to keep the Bears within striking distance.
The one caveat to be aware of is that this could be a trap game for Philadelphia in that they are coming off a divisional win over the Giants and could be looking ahead to next week’s pivotal clash with the Cowboys, thereby overlooking the anemic Bears.
As we all know Philadelphia owns the best record in the league at 12-1 but what you might not know is that they have won and covered the last five meetings against the Bears. Chicago is dead last in the passing game, averaging only 140.6 yards per game, so that means they will be committed to running where they are tops in the league in averaging over 189 rushing yards per contest.
And while the Bears may be able to run against a middling Philly run-stop unit, how will that allow them to stay close to a team that averages nearly 30 points per game, is No. 1 in that category, and never turns the ball over (ranked 1st in turnovers)? The answer is – it won’t.
