Great job, Peyton! Aren't you happy to be MVP of the Pro Bowl? That reward goes perfectly with your meaningless 49 TD pass season. Yee-haw!

amen to that.another thing that makes me scratch my head is how does he continue to even be mentioned as mvp.i was under the impression that meant they one to make the biggest difference in a sport not how much you can pile on twice a year vs the scrubs in his division.perfect example of mvp would be steve nash phoenix was and had been bottom feeders for a couple years now same team with him and there running everyone off the court thats a mvp not a guy who can bully on the scubs but cant beat anyone of importance.so what he scorched denver the past 2 years they shouldnt of been there anyways.his track record speaks for itself he couldnt win the big one at tennessee with a loaded squad and the pros speak for itself.

If every GM & clubowner in the NFL had to start from complete scratch and build their teams again, the first QB selected would be Peyton. GEt off the "can't win the big one " trash talk. 53 man rosters with solid depth win rings, NOT 1 player! Peyton is a solid HallofFamer , Marino and Fouts never won a ring, big FRIKKIN deal. Manning's days are far from over, I'm sure he'll get the last laugh over all you myopic know- nothings!:finger:

Sorry, Bubba.....but a "great" QB has to put more than 3 points on the board in a playoff game---with those receivers? Please. He deserves every slam he gets.

never said he wasnt a great qb theres a difference between great and choking when you have a team that knows his routes which he audibles into 90% of the time and he cant figure it out or execute under the lights he's a choker and your right every gm would pick him if they were choosing for there fantasty teams.hes been doing it since tennessee when he had stacked teams nothing new his defense held the pats to 20 points where are the 49 touchdowns when it counts? and just an fyi i think all but one might pick him im sure n.e is happy with who they got.

The problem in Indy is not Manning at all. It's that loser of a coach Dungy. Never won anything at this level and never willl. Same goes with Mariucci in Detroit. 21st century's version of Jim Mora.

haha @ 19-0 since college there has always been someone to shut him down in a big game and there always will be.he simply cant get it done under the lights.new england was'nt d'ing him up at tennessee when he had meltdowns all 4 years.as far as dungy i couldnt agree more perfect example was tampa b4 they went into the cap dumping phase.same team gruden won with that dungy failed with over and over.manning and dungy deserve each other so they can continue to fail together.what a perfect match.1/4th of manning's career has been spent throwing against cleveland and cincinatti.he better put up some ridiculous numbers.one last note isnt that cleveland team the same team allowing everyone to break nfl records on them over and over?keep up the "great work" manning.what a loser.

Manning made $8,301,666 in 2004 and signed a $70 million contract extension. I have to believe he has already gotten the last laugh. All while being a very good citizen and leader.

General, no doubt he's laughing all the way to the bank, but a good leader? I don't think so.....a huge way for him to lead would be to sacrifice a little so there'd be more money left over for defense, etc. And, of course, "sacrifice" is a joke anyway--he'd still make millions and millions. He's hugely talented and rich. He's also a loser.

Bottom line:

He's an extremely talented QB. Wea er not arguing this.
He makes a ton of money because of it, possibly deservedly so. We are not arguing this.
He would be a top QB pick of many. We are not arguing this.

He sucks in the big games!!!! This is the argument. And don't give me the defense or Dungy sucks business - when Indy gets beaten in the big games, he and his high-powered, #1 draft pick stocked offense are the ones who can't score.

He may -finally- win one sooner or later. Lord knows he's had enough opportunities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But how everyone is so enamored with him is beyond me. I've even heard people say "greatest ever" - huh?!?! Aren't people paying attention?
