This was the first time (QB) Vernon Adams was OK'd to play since he was knocked out in the 2Q of
the Alamo Bowl (Oregon vs TCU) 3 weeks ago on New Year's Day. 200 yards throwing the ball in a
part-time role along with 3 TD passes was enough to earn himself MVP honors.
Furthermore, Cam Newton, another former and well-known "rent-a-quarterback" has been tearing it
up lately in the NFL playoffs as Carolina's QB with an impressive win over the Arizona Cardinals in the
NFC championship game.
Speaking of "rent-a-quarterbacks" in CFB... anyone remember Wisconsin's Russel Wilson a couple
of years back? He's already got his Super Bowl ring. Maybe it's Cam Newton's turn this year...
Just saying, maybe there's more predictability here than it seems at first... including Vernon Adams
performance in the East/West Shrine game. He did finish out 2015 in style, unbeaten from week 7
on to close out the year with impressive passing stats (until his bell was rung vs TCU.)
Now as I was saying about Cam Newton....
