This thread has taken on a life of its own.......

Fellows....


Gambling... Gaming..... Capping.... is a life of mine and its a life I chose almost about 2 decades ago... Its not one game... Its not even a string of games...winning or losing..

Is about a collective package. A finished product ......as the 3rd out of the World Series is completed. Then and only then will I judge my abilities...or my year...

I could care a less about a capper or some phoney capper. I mean, I might not sit around with my thumb up my but as

consistently bumps a potential losing thread. BUT.... How many times has she bumped and we have turned around an won. When that goes down.......What happens? Nothing. Its back to one's room with only one's dream of the days of PURPLE RAIN...... Please...

Or people posting threads to simply go against me just hoping for the day they actually win one... YEAH ! You won...YEAH.... The sad part is that when that happens deception enters the forum and that bugs me... In those cases, one is not capping. One is just being silly and I dont think it is fair to the newbie who is just out looking for some guidance on a game...... But it happens..

As mentioned... Games are a bloop and a BLAST from putting you right back in the money. Look at last night... 2-2. 7 Inning and we need a total of 10 to win... Seems impossible. Is it? Is it really?

Both teams possess a ton of lumber...so the ROCKIES get up...Bloop and a BLAST.....and the O's get up...a bloop and a blast and all of a sudden the game is at 8 ! BANG.... But to give up in the 4th inning is troubling. One shouldnt be gambling. That my advise this morning. If you are that much on edge... you need to knit something or go pull some wings off of a few flies... hahaha

We are 17-2 in our last 19 sides... Sure we have lost a few this weekend... it happens and it all part of the quest for the ultimate goal which I have at 60 Units... Tons of games to play. Set backs will happen but please take a look at your own game and understand that its a marathon.

LONG Road an head and last nights game though sucked....only reduced us from like 37 units to 36..... ok... life is not over... stop kicking the dog...

but obviously people are loading up here and there and when that happens a lose like last night is a disaster... Steady Bets fellows...Steady bets and this way you can still sleep at night knowing that you have 20000000 more games to bet on...

Here do this...We have had streaks of like 12 and 10 and even many at 5 on the win side... FREAK OUT when we have 10 in a row to the lost collumn... thats when you start to wrestle the dog... but one game ....shouldnt crush your spirit or send you into a tail spin


One or two plays a night
Same bet on every game
Vision in a long term nature over a short term nature

Trust me... it works...

GREAT post Mr. Wise. I have NOT been able to cash in on your great capping like everyone else, but it is MY fault, certainly not yours. I did not even know about your thread for awhile after joining (I joined late May sometime, but didn't really start looking around alot until early June) When I did find your threads, I did not jump in right away. When I did jump in, I played some, skipped others, etc and always seemed to jump in on your few losses. Even went against you a couple times, and that did not work out. Have had a good baseball season personally until last week. Last week was BAD for me, so last night I wagered ALOT more on your play than I normally play anything....another RARE loss for you. So I do my capping this morning, and one of the games I like is Washington +130....go to check what you have and of course it is AGAINST Washington. I HATE going against myself, but have decided to stop being an idiot. I feel like I am a good capper, but obviously you are even better...I am going to play CLEVELAND tonight based on PW selection. Will play your games moving forward for the same amount, period. I should have made some good money with your plays and I have not. I can only blame myself, doesn't matter the outcome tonight. Long winded way of saying you the man PW and I have screwed up. Good luck tonight, let's cash on the tribe and let's get it rest of the season. Thanks for all you do for everyone.

Top post. Can't fault anything you have pointed out here PW. It's bang on the money.

I can sympathise with people that are frustrated when a bet looks like it is going to be a loser, but you have to wait until the end of the game to find out if you win or lose. No amount of whining mid game is going to change the end result. All it does is sour the thread and sour the mood. It's quite unnecessary really.

As for those that repeatedly bump the thread to point out the play is in a losing state, well that's just really sad and selfish. I think a modicum of chilling out is require here.

Good advice above PW. Hopefully the guys take it on board and take things one game at a time, win or lose. It's a marathon not a sprint.

King .... The hardest thing I had to learn is the chase .... it was addicting and led me to lose my shirt in the beginning ...I found myself always chasing..... Palms sweaty .... edge of my seat....

Not worth it... I would tell everyone... dial it down... small strokes..... and at first if you have a big hole that will be hard to do. BEEN THERE !!! But hey, you dug it... now it is time to lie in it and work your way out... We all learn things the hard way... if we didnt, we would be cappers and gamblers... haha

But when you learn patience in this game ... you will learn the way to win... small strokes... never chase.. What do I do when I lose 2 or 3 in a row... I take a day off...I dont MORTGAGE THE HOUSE... please... I nap.... come back a day later and play out... same bets....same style... small strokes..

NO ONE GAME WILL CRUSH ME !!

So, if you are in a hole...accept it... YOU DID IT.... and just work your way out slowly... it will suck for a while...but a lesson will be learned and hopefully never done again...

We have all been there.... no exceptions...

Remember... its not about what happened....it about what do you do next that matters...

I like to cap my own games. If I am going to be mad at an outcome I want it to be only at myself. That being said I have tailed a few of your games and win or lose I push the submit button. 5 pages of in game "oh we are gonna lose" in the 4th inning is bush! Baseball is one of the best games to win on but also can rear a very ugly head at times. Like Penny says take a nap, shake it off , let the smoke clear, circle the wagons, etc.etc. If you tail then figure out your unit you are comfortable with and play em all the same.
Penny my hat is off to you and I hope some of your sage words sink in to a few. There will always be chasers sitting in a pool of sweat and that is what the books count on.
