Over 8. Washington-Arizona +102

I like this over. Washington and Arizona are hitting really well so far, being the two teams with most runs scored this year (173 Washington and 147 Arizona). I talked about the Diamondbacks bullpen the other day. I used the word "atrocious" so ... nothing more to say. The two starting pitchers for this match are Gio Gonzalez, a very inconsistent left handed pitcher, and Robbie Ray, a pitcher that the past season was close to reach the 5 ERA.

I think that is enough to take this over. The line is too short for two teams that are hitting the ball really well so ...

Detroit +149

Cabrera is back, the Tigers at home +149 sounds crazy to me so I am backing them. Carrasco has been pretty solid but with some troubles at the beginning of the matches. It happened against the Tigers in their previous matchup with Boyd vs Carrasco on the mound, and that was enough for Detroit to take the win here. Boyd was fantasitc in that outing by the way.

The indians are one of the favourites this year but I cannot skip them as underdog at home with such odds and now with Cabrera back. A must try today imo.

Miami +117

Another underdog that I have to try. Conley on the mound for the Marlins, a pitcher that is 1-2 with 6.86 ERA but that I like so I expect him improving those awful numbers for the rest of the season. Miami is a team that improved a lot in my opinion and it is easy for me to back them against a team like the Rays that love the low scoring games because their offense is very inconsistent. As I said, I am taking this pich specially because of Conley and the odds.

Tampa with Snell on the mound, 0-2 this year with 3.42 ERA and a WHIP higger than Conley in a season that has been awful so far for Adam. Not better than Conley for me so the matchup is clearly positive for the Marlins.

White Sox +137

More funny odds. The Royals are favourite here just because Pelfrey is a very underated pitcher. He is very inconsistent and not a great pitcher, but he is not that bad and the best part of his season is always the first 2-3 months. Kansas City is not winning against any team in the league while the White Sox are red hot with 7 wins in the last 9 matches.

Another dog that is a must take imo. Karns played awful the past season and the start of this year has not been better with a 0-2 record and 6.26 ERA so ... why the Royals are that favourite in this one? I am taking the White Sox without any doubt.

Seattle -109

I like Seattle in this one. Iwakuma is way better than Nolasco into my eyes and that should be enough to take this one. The Angels are not my favourite team because it is a team that would be average without Trout in their lineup. With him, the team is not good enough to compete for the World Series while I see the Mariners as a better team.

The problem here is that the Angels streak is good with 2 wins in a row while the Mariners lost the last 3 games. I think that Seattle has here a perfect chance to change their streak so I am taking them to win.

Some winnings yesterday. Lets start with todays picks:

Pittsburgh -106

Not the first time I am taking the Pirates with Nova on the mound. Nova has been fantastic so far this year, showing great command in every single outing (just 1 BB in 36 complete innings pitched) and getting 2 losses just because the Pirates couldnt support him with some runs. I think that he has been the most reliable pitcher for the Pirates so far and I trust him to stop the Reds offense.

Cincinnati will put Adleman on the mound, a pitcher that had success in the minors but that has been unable to pitch at the same level in the MLB. The past season he finished with 4 ERA and a 4-4 record and this year he has started 2 matches (played 3), with a 4.70 ERA in 15.1 innings pitched.

Cincinnati will be a losing team at the end of the year and they are overperforming a little bit. I think that its time for them to lose because 3 wins in 4 matches sounds a little bit unreal. I like the Pirates here. Offensively the team has weapons, Nova is a reliable pitcher and their bullpen is one of the best into my eyes. The Reds have some bats and thats all.

Houston -1.5 +140

Musgrove on the mound for the Astros, a pitcher with a bright future. I like him and the Rangers are having troubles to score so I like to risk a little bit with the Astros that are playing better this year in the first month of competition. What happened the past year was shameful and they managed to avoid that again.19-9, the team is on fire. They are hitting great and the pitching is working fine so ...

Texas having troubles in every single aspect of the game. The hitting is not working, the pitching is even worse and the 11-17 record is not that bad after what we saw from them.

I like the Astros to cover the handicap. The team is playing great and Musgrove is a potential ace. If Texas keeps hitting like they did so far, this could be easy.
