packer - raider game is now off the board

Because of the playoff implications. If Denver was to win, the line on the Packer game would drop from -4.5 to -3 or less. A Denver win would eliminate Green Bay from the playoffs.

OMAHA - I must be missing something (entirely possible !!!) : How would the results of a game between 2 AFC teams affect the playoff situation for the Packers ?

Nick

I thought it was because of MacKenzie (CB) for GB now being questionable. He's a big part of their defense...

Sorry guys.. I was asleep at the wheel. Didn't check things before I responded. Nick, you are right. I guess I was thinking for a second that the Broncos were in the NFC.

So, I have no explanation for the line being down. It is down at 2 of my books.

Let me explain, ladies. If Denver wins, they are in. They will likely rest their players in week 17. Favre's dad did not die, and they wouldn't pull a line off a game because of a mediocre cb. sheesh.

Denver winning and resting their starters in week 17 has no significance on tomorrow's game
being taken off the board.

Farve is listed as questionable due to personal reasons.

partyboy - The game in question is in Week 16, not week 17 and does not involve the Broncos.

If you are going to make an insulting comment to the group, at least pay attention to the post.

A great big "sheesh" right at you !

Oh, Partyboy : ESPN just reported that Farves father died today . again ... PAY ATTENTION !!!

That is just sad news to hear. I am a big time Brett Farve fan. I offer him and his family my sincere condolences. Dam and at X-mas time as well. Just sad. R.I.P. Mr. Farve.

At least he died knowing that he was successful in raising a good man and a great athlete in Brett.

On another note, Carib still have the line up for the Monday Night game. It is at -4 now. Aloha CC.
