Joe Burrow's history of injuries

  • Aug. 14, 2017 hand wrist fracture: Thursday didn't mark the first time that Burrow hurt his throwing hand. Back when he was a redshirt sophomore at Ohio State, Burrow suffered a broken bone in his right hand during practice and had an operation to repair the fracture. The injury forced him to miss the start of the season. Once he returned to action, he primarily played backup to J.T. Barrett for the next two years.
  • Jan. 16, 2020 – chest rib fracture: After transferring to LSU and leading the Tigers to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game during his redshirt senior season, Burrow sustained torn rib cartilage after being hit by Clemson linebacker James Skalski near the end of the second quarter. However, Burrow played through pain to finish the game, throwing for 463 yards and five touchdowns while also running one in himself to help lead the Tigers to the national title. The injury to his rib cartilage didn't force him to miss the start of his NFL career with the Bengals later that year.
  • Nov. 22, 2020 knee ACL tear grade 3, knee MCL tear grade 3, knee PCL tear grade 3, knee meniscus tear:Burrow only made it to Week 11 of his NFL rookie season before suffering a gruesome, four-part injury during the Bengals' game against the then-Washington Redskins. After being smashed high and low by two defenders, Burrow's right knee buckled in an awkward way, resulting in an ACL tear, MCL tear, PCL tear and partial meniscus tear. He underwent surgery that December and completed rehab on Sept. 1, 2021, just in time for the Bengals' season opener 11 days later.
    • Dec. 5, 2021 – hand finger dislocation: Following a Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Burrow told reporters that he dislocated his pinkie finger after being sacked during the game. Despite the injury, Burrow didn't miss any games and went on to play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 where he put up 348 passing yards with two touchdowns in a Bengals loss.
    • Jan. 2, 2022 – knee strain grade 1:In a Week 17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Burrow strained his knee after twisting it toward the end of the game. He was taken out for the final minutes of the game as he limped off the field. Burrow missed the Bengals' regular-season finale the following week but was back for their Wild Card matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders where he completed 24 of 34 passes while recording 244 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 26-19 victory.
      • Feb. 13, 2022 – knee MCL sprain grade 2: Burrow was having an injury-free playoff run until the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams. Burrow took a shotgun snap and tried to step up in the face of a blitzing five-man rush. He was sacked by edge rusher Von Miller and immediately began clutching his knee. Burrow wound up powering through the pain and finished the game as the Bengals went on to lose 23-20. The injury did not require surgery during the off-season and Burrow was back to full health for the start of the new season later that same year.
      • July 27, 2023 – leg calf strain: Burrow sustained a calf strain on his right leg while rolling out in practice. He was good to go by Aug. 30 and hadn't missed a game due to this injury. However, Burrow reportedly re-aggravated the injury in Week 2 against the Ravens.
      • Nov. 16, 2023 – torn wrist ligament: Burrow's latest injury is a torn ligament in his right wrist, which he suffered in a Week 11 loss to the Ravens Thursday night. The injury occurred in the second quarter when Burrow said he felt a “pop” after throwing a four-yard touchdown pass to running back Joe Mixon. In a press conference Friday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Burrow's injury will likely require surgery, causing him to miss the remainder of the season.
I'll go Nov week 11 VS the Chargers in S.D .

What's your over / under on Patriot wins, Willie?

8.5

The most improved team in the NFL

Didn't they set some record last year for the most losses by < 7 points

Including an 0-3 stretch where they have up a total of 25 points

Don't have to improve much to pick up a handful of wins

8.5 ..Brave..hows the media reading the new coach?
Interesting watching the Seattle media buy in 100% on coach McDonald without a snap being played but you get the feeling the players like the change away from pete...
